Can you take some photos? We have problems with environmental allergies showing as puffy red spots. We also have almost constant bug bite problems and they'll show as puffy red spots especially if they have been itching them. But it could be a bunch of stuff so take some photos and post em up if you...

What MaryEllen posted should have been told to you as post op instructions. Obviously they didn't do that. Did they give you any post op instructions? You did the right thing. If your dog don't seem normal and you are concerned go to the vet. Even if they try to blow you off (like they did) or tell ...

jsut an fyi I have one dog that got the lymes vaccines, she has had lymes disease (outbreak)three times so far! Maybe that is why your Mom's vet did not suggest it. My vet has recommended my other two dogs not get the lymes vacc since it s not very effective. I agree no vaccine is 100%. And in the ...

They are good if you know what you want for your dogs. But they are all about cover your donkey b/c they are a huge corporation so as misskiwi said they'll sell you the kitchen sink. They would rather offer everything including the most extreme b/c then its your choice to say no and if you decide yo...

We use it but just switched this past month, so all I can tell you is the dogs don't seem to mind it any more than they minded the regular advantage (mine always try to wipe it off so I have to keep an eye on them). I haven't seen any ticks. And I'm pretty sure whenever there are mosquitos they are ...

I took her home because someone brought this abused, fearful, bred untill she was sick dog to me at work and said that if I didn't want her, they were going to take her back to the same abusive home. Was I supposed to say" No, take her back to that abusive situation." I am hoping that I c...

I'm not sure. I'm pretty new to VA. I was looking for someplace to volunteer. I sent lots of emails and no response. Then at the Super Pet Expo a couple weeks ago several rescues told me they weren't rescuing anymore.

If he is getting ear infections and still has itchy skin you may be dealing with some allergies on top of the demodex. Just something to keep in the back of your mind if the ear infections and itchiness continue. Good luck!

Sorry I don't know his background so I apologize if these questions have been answered a million times. If it isn't demodex why are they doing mitaban dips? What does he eat? Do you give any other supplements besides the allergy meds? Is he losing hair b/c he is chewing or its just falling out?

Hi Ya'll, Thanks for the welcome! For those who also live in NoVA we'll have to have some bully playdates, I love that! So far the new guy, Angus, is getting along ok. He and Addy get a little pissy at each other when they both want to cuddle but we are trying to curb that. Pete was already taken by...

Hi from NoVA

Hi! I'm Jenny. I live in NoVA with my husband, Thomas, and our 3 poopers. Repete is an 11yo shephard mix and came from a Kansas City shelter. Addy is a 2yo pittie who was rescued immediately prior to the Denver ban going back into effect. As the atmosphere became more and more dangerous to own her a...
