you can get bag balm in the pet section at walmart. works great on dogs and people! don't leave it in reach, though... for some reason dogs think it's particularly tasty, and trust me, there is nothing worse than cleaning up after THAT mess!

i think it depends a lot on where you are located, and what your dog is accustomed to. here in anchorage, river doesn't even seem to notice the cold until it's below zero, and 40 for us is a nice, warm day. but for a dog use to a warmer climate, 40 could be positively frigid!

well, i was talking to a friend of mine, and turns out she recently emailed the company with the same question. they told her that "they make their own fish meal from fresh fish that is kept stored at 35 degrees, so you can be assured that it does not contain ethoxyquin."
