my kids are fed three times a day, some time before 10am, some time before 3pm, sometime before 8pm. when exactly depends on when i get hungry and decide to eat, since they are fed after david and i eat.

only the canned foods were recalled, the dry kibble is (so far) fine. i like cs. i fed it to my kids till i moved to civilization and was able to find canidae and innova. i still use the cs kitten in my ferrets' mix. the chicken soup products are a decent priced, decent quality food.

i fostered a black dane who turned almost solid brown when she was blowing her puppy coat. once the puppy coat was gone, she was back to a sleek, shiney black. sun can also bleach a blue/black coat, making it look rusted. diet can also effect it, too (although i don't remember the particulars).

my husband always jokes that the animals eat better than we do! and he's right. i get to chose what i eat, good or bad, but the animals have only me to decide what they get. so i owe it to them to provide them with the best diet possible. i would looooooove to go raw, but right now, that's just not ...

poor baby!

i had a foster dane who use to break out in hives like that. he had food allergies. we finally ended up switching him to a raw diet, it was the only thing that cleared him up!

i just picked up a bag of the all life stages for river today. i was realllly excited to find a store that carries canidae here (anchorage, ak). my saint is currently on innova senior, but once she runs out, i'm thinking about switching her over to canidae, too. one food for both dogs would make my ...

thanks for the welcome! river is actually my first pit/mix, but i grew up with both pits and boxers. i love all the bully breeds, and have always known that someday i would own one. here are a few pics of river, and her big sister, arya. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j193/mossling/doogies/14apri...
