Switched from Canidae to Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish after Horace's skin infection, which may have had nothing to do with the food but my vet told me to keep him on the allergy food to keep things real simple for his immune system to figger out!

If you can withstand the look of complete and utter betrayal that clearly says "you are breaking my little doggy heart and I have no idea why!"...should eventually be a piece of cake! lol Poor Horace is sleeping in his bedside crate tonight due to a little case of the runs, after having e...

My female is 8 y/o and dailey beats the snot out of both my puppies. She does not do it as long as she use to but they play fight none the less. It is perfectly normal for them to do this especially when you got puppies together. My 2 pups are sleeping atm but as soon as they wake up they will go r...

I agree with Linariel about keeping a correction collar and a leash on the dog at all times. Some people like no correction or aversive training at all, such as aversive use of water, but if it's that or give the dog up as unstable or aggressive, I say, avert away! Good luck.

Re: Roll Over!!!

I have never been able to teach a dog to roll over, neither one of my dogs would try to learn it. Even my pitty, who is SO food motivated would flip out if I tried to get her to roll over. But last night, in about 15 minutes, my foster pitty mastered it! She needs some practice, but she has it down...

I'd be willing to do some driving from the Ohio border across the state of PA. I think you might want to start a thread in GENERAL, call it NEED HELP GETTING RESCUE FROM INDIANA TO PA. and describe the situation in the body of the post. There's a rescue in Indiana, going to be put down in four days,...

That mutilation is the maiming of a bodily organ (such as is the case of an ear) is also da facts, love 'em or hate 'em. I noticed you didn't even touch my statement about euthanizing dogs and cats because human beings could. Same thing applies here, humans are playing the divine being and not the ...

As far as "it's your property, it's your right", isn't that what Cletis Porter said about our friend M.V.'s treatment of his dogs? So why is it a hateful argument in the one circumstance, but an acceptable one here? Because one circumstance is humane and the other is inhumane? Actually, y...

I'm not comparing the individuals or the acts, I'm questioning the validity of the argument.

Opinions are like arseholes and everyone thinks theirs is rosier than the next person's. However, that being said it's like individuals trying to impose the ability to control a woman's body and her choices. They should be able to make their own decision as to their dog. Dogs are still considered p...
