Horace is a little over a year (13-14 months?) and just about 58-60 lbs.

Hazel is about 7 months and 28 lbs. (My wee-nut).

I'm glad that most vets around here won't crop or dock, and I wouldn't go to a vet that did.

A gradual switch is always easier on them than a sudden one. I mix in increasing amounts of the new food with the old for a week or so until it's all new food. Vomit and diarrhea are scary but they go away! You can feed white rice mixed with baby food for a day or two before you go to the new food, ...

Make peroxide your friend! When in doubt, make him vomit it out!

After the emergency vet told me Horace was "foreign object surgery waiting to happen" I got a fresh bottle, and I feel much better having it in easy reach.

I'm glad Brownie's okay.

holy hell did this work for me this morning! my boy cooper ate 3 eggs from a stuffy toy (the eggs went in the belly of the toy, and they try to get them out). The eggs are pretty big as well, fur covered plastic with squeakers in them. well me and my were eating breakfast when the squeaking stopped...

Hazel barfs with a few tablespoons but Horace seems to have developed an immunity. (I had an incident just the other day.)

I hope you've spotted the stuffy-remnants by now!

Horace diarrheaed in the backseat of my car and then in his crate on Saturday, and the poor fella's been upset all week. Finally this morning his poos looked good. Switched from Canidae to Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish after Horace's skin infection, which may have had nothing to do with the food but my vet told me to keep him on the allergy food to keep things real simple for his immune system to figger out!
