Re: Urgent rescue needed for Pit Mix

The puppies are only 1/4 pit bull - it is noted on their bios (will go to non-BSL areas), and they have not been mistreated, which makes life much easier. FTR, she is listed on my site as adoptable or "needs foster home", we were unable to spay her today because her milk is still not drie...

Re: Worm in Stool ?

Could be tapeworm, which they get from fleas. They eat a flea, the larvea is hosted by the flea.. and ta da. worms! What usually is seen is just segments of the worm in the stool IF it is tapeworm. There are many worms dogs get . And deworming just kills active worms, it has to be repeated at least ...

Re: Bleeding tail tip

I use surgical super glue for our happy waggers.. it helps to get the tail to get some scar tissue built up , it seems its the only way to keep our waggers from rebusting all the time.

Re: Can dogs get rabies from just going for a walk?

The best defense to panic attacks and virus's is to be sure to vaccinate puppies as soon as your vet reccomends, boosters as needed. There are titer levels you can run if worried about over vaccinating, but they arent very accurate I dont think yet, and they wont count if your dog bites someone and ...

Check the labels on the canned food-- the brands at the pet shop here vary from around 330 calories per can to 500 calories per can. "Blue" chicken canned food, Canidae, and Chicken Soup canned foods are some of the reasonably-priced ones (ie, not $4 per can!!) that have more calories per...
