Re: Two Weeks! Give em a break! :0 )

Hey guys. Could use some help. Just adopted Mischa. Mischa is a staffy, and is a real sweetheart. She is ALWAYS attentive, sometimes too much so which bothers me. She also is always looking for me to pet her or lay down with her. However, I just finished reading this thread, and I wished I read it ...

Re: I had a very bad incident today; need help!

It sounds like its been very stressful for her and you. She may have been seeing these workers all day and building on it, just like the cats. I too would be very disturbed and upset, understandly so. Many might think and say instantly "off with their head". But we have to see how much is ...

Re: RAW diets and proper nutrition?

whip worms, urine stains, overall poor body condition, lack of routine veterinary care, and failure to answer adoption inquiries cannot be attributed to a raw diet. nope... and one has to wonder WTH. and the foster made the comment one and only that the dog " was on raw so I switched to kibble...

Re: RAW diets and proper nutrition?

[quote"luvnstuff"] Well since this was a foster dog they had a responsiblity to take the dog to a vet and not forego vaccinations health checks and well dog visits , paid for by Pound Buddies as is food reimbursed . Yes, but Pound Puppies is at fault as well for not having seen the dog in...

Re: RAW diets and proper nutrition?

I don't think Stacie was trying to make this a raw debate. Personally I think the person failed the dog miserably and I do hope they pop on and see this thread. True.. I missed this. I think properly done it can be a miracle food actually, done improper or cutting corners or forgoing comon sense (h...

Re: RAW diets and proper nutrition?

If the thinking that RAW fed dogs are so healthy they dont need common check ups I see a bigger problem looming. You are mistaking my comments regarding why MsK's population sample is skewed. It was an explanation, NOT an endorsement of discarding vet care. With so much negativity from vets, who tr...

Re: About to kill diesel

Diesel check in to let us know you are still with us, and you have read your homework. I want to help your wife and the dog get to know each other and find that line of trust. The above excericse Find me For food is a great way to start this.

Re: RAW diets and proper nutrition?

So (SOME) people feeding raw feel they dont need to visit a vetinarian for well checks? Worm checks? and vaccinations. Guess that thinking could of led this dog to the path of being under weight, (emmaciated), positive for whipworms (which more than likey meant no preventative for other parasistes )...

Re: About to kill diesel

There is a thread above in this topic called two weeks give em a break. I am sure you realize that talks of gun sizes and etc only make you sound more like a person wanting an argument than help. Dogs do not even get to showing their true personalities for at least two weeks, abused dogs sometimes a...
