This was my exact thought, too. :goodpost:

Be worth a try!

Re: My Puppy has Parvo...

My reply from your other post: "The dog in my avatar had parvo as a puppy. She is going to be six years old this summer. They can pull through with IV fluids and aggressive treatment. If your vet is telling you she only has three days to live I'd get her to another vet ASAP. The prognosis isn't...

Re: Is this normal?

I appreciate all the replies. She is mixed Eng. Bulldog and APBT. Unfortunately, I she hasnt been eating and drinking the past couple of days so I brought her to the vet. The vet tested her and I found out she has the Parvovirus disease, and he told me that she only has about 3 days to live. :cryba...

Re: Yearly checkup, registration...am I paying too much $$$?

I wasn't aware that it was that common for dogs to get it on preventative...so I will definitely have it done! Thank you sooo much! I haven't seen anything concrete on it yet, but there is a possibility that there may be some heartworm developing resistance to the treatment. It is not know whether ...

Re: Security Blanket...

Cat that were weaned or seperated from mama too quickly for their liking will sometimes do this as well. I think it's called "wool sucking". I don't believe it is generally considered a problem as long as they aren't ingesting material and are doing well otherwise. If you're ever concerned...

Re: Yearly checkup, registration...am I paying too much $$$?

We get a 3 year rabies vaccine here in PA, the cost is $13. I get Moira's other vaccines every three years as well, they run around $34. Office visit is $38 at my vet, though he often doesn't charge it or only charges half if it's a shorter visit. $30 when we need a heartworm test (if we get a decen...

Re: My boy diagnosed with Lymphoma

I have no experience with lymphoma so I can't speak to that, but I would say at the very least get him in to the vet for some IV fluids. It will make him a little more comfortable. Dehydration is terrible.

So sorry you are going through this with your boy. My heart goes out to you.

I got a bowl like that. Slightly different but the same idea. We tried the water thing and he sucked the water up in a second. Pit bull x Hoover vaccuum mix? roflmao Try warm water and let it sit a few minutes? I'd still also try the work to eat toys or hand feeding! PS - I just wanted to mention t...

Re: Fast eating issues

A few things you can try. #1 - work-to-eat toys These are the best because they slow down the rate of eating AND exercise his brain at the same time - good deal! Some examples would be a Kong, Kong Wobbler, Buster Cube, etc. You should be able to look most of those up at amazon.com or similar site t...
