Re: Found this guy today...

Did the vet do a skin scraping or some other tests to determine exactly what it is? Ring worm is highly contagious, so be careful with that in regards to yourself and other pets. Thank you for helping the pup out, hopefully you can locate his owner!

Re: No appetite... and hives forever!

You have to upload your picture to a hosting site like Flickr or Photobucket (there are lots of free ones) then you can post them here =)

There's instructions posted in more detail here:

Re: Urinalysis Results

My MLT friend said crystals in the urine can form within hours of getting the sample, so she wants to test a fre...

Re: Urinalysis Results

You have to know what kind of crystals (if any) are there before you give cranberry. There are three types of crystals that can be found in urine - struvite, oxalate, and cystine. Cranberry is high in oxalate, and if the dog is excreting calcium in it's urine, and you give cranberry, it can form cal...

Re: Urinalysis Results

Crystals can form in the urine within a half hour of it leaving the body. So unless the test was done right there in the vet's office those results *may* not be as accurate as you'd like. My advice would be to get a second opinion from a different (better?) vet and take it from there. Hold of on the...

Re: No appetite... and hives forever!

The important thing, if you believe it to be food related, is to just try one thing at a time, and you have to give it a good couple of months to see if it works. You really have to watch what you feed for treats, chews, and even flavored medications (like heartworm pills) because they can also cont...
