Re: I need help not a bashing

how are the ears looking? still red? i agree with the rest don't put anything on them just let them heal, it will hurt to even touch the ears right now. As long as he's drinking and eating and the ears are looking better not swollen or something i would just leave them to heal up. And no i don't agr...

Re: Found my boy triggers... TRIGGER.

I am also assuming you want to get your dog to ignore other dogs or not to react towards them? then holding the dogs head is not the way to go. This causes stress and discomfort, its not helpful. I would use treats in the first period of training, and yes your daughter might not need a treat everyti...

Re: Confused.

You already have gotten alot of good tips and websites, i would also use a nylon 1 metre leash with the handle cut with scissors on both girls when they are together if a fight does break out both can be easily seperated by grabbing the leash make sure leashes are of different color and 1 color alwa...

Re: Reminder about Flexy leashes

I have two of them for my girls, but i also only use them when in the park or forrest when a normal leash is not handy. For everyday potty walks when one would encounter other dogs, people, bikes, cars it is not a good idea. I once saw a dog get hit by a car because the owner could not use the flexi le...

Re: Stinky Breath

my girl has always had problems with her anal glands i do not express them myself but my vet does at the clinic. Mostly because if done the wrong way and if infected the glands can really hurt. If blood is in her glands i would certaintly go see a vet and ask for antibiotics, nothing else works for ...

Re: Transitioning from an inside to outside dog

Alice is kept in a kennel in the garage, I take her out often to go to the bathroom and I always play with her, some tug, soccer ball, or we just run around if she's feeling like the zoomies. I try to take her out at least once a day to work on new behaviors, and we bike towards the end of the day....

Re: Chews/ treats for a dog with allergies

my GSD who's also allergic to almost anything gets 100% salmon treats, they are expensive but so far no reaction from it, so you might want to try that ;)

Re: Need ideas for socializing a fugitive.

I know some people from rally's and other events but not personally, and none who live close enough to work with me regularly. The few pitbull dogs that come to the clinic have owners who are oblivious to the fact that there IS a ban. Ah, the ignorant people how can people not know about the ban? I...
