Re: Victor Dog Food

The Grain Free Joint Health says 750 mg/kg, but I don't know how that relates to "per serving." Right now I supplement with Glyco Flex III, and unless the food provides enough to match that, I (personally) will just get the regular and continue to supplement. Obviously, it'd be awesome if ...

Re: Victor Dog Food

Any more feedback or thoughts on this food? My friend may start carrying it at her grooming salon, so I may be able to get it at a good price... I'd never even heard of it, but it looks great.

Re: Where do you go for cheap online supplies

Doggiefood.com is my new favorite site - Prices are great, and there's almost always 15% discount codes on Facebook. I just checked out Wag.com, and it's pretty cool, but everything I buy is still cheaper at doggiefood (plus Wag doesn't carry Fromm).

I do like Entirely Pets. They sell on Amazon, too.

Pronature Holistic (Canadian)

Any of the members from Canada (or the US) feed this food? http://www.pronature.ca/en/pronature-holistic/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; My local store suddenly has a huge stock of it for dirt cheap. I think, after some research, that they got it for really cheap because the company ...

Re: 4Health or Diamond Naturals?

I think the only foods you're going to find for the price of Diamond foods... are Diamond foods. 4Health looks to be a Diamond food private labelled for TSC (like Kirkland is labelled for Costco). They're all pretty comparable with minor variances. I guess of the two, I would lean toward 4Health. On...

Re: California Natural vs. Fromm

I also have access to Holistic Select, Before Grain, and Earthborn Holistic (and others outside my price range) through the supply company my work uses. My two girls are on Earthborn. The pug was, too, but I took him off grain free and put him on the low activity Fromm so maybe I could feed him a t...

Re: California Natural vs. Fromm

I just switched my boys to Fromm (low activity/mature). Just this week, so I can't give it glowing reviews or anything, but I've heard nothing but good things about them. I wrote to them for info, and they sent me a packet with info and coupons. I don't have any experience with California Naturals, ...

Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

That being said, I do think that we will be switching to Earthborn Holistic when our TOTW runs out. I picked some up today. I hope my 3 does well on it. Yay :) I'm a big fan of this stuff. I actually picked up a bag of their (non grain free) cat food for my parents today, because they asked me to f...

Re: Is it worth it?

PetSmarts are not able to bend on corporate policy. A few times a year, we have to deal with a customer flipping out because we cannot groom their dog, who isn't able to receive the required rabies vaccine per their vet. Always a sensitive issue. I know vaccines can take a toll on the body. One of m...

Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

Where are you getting TOTW for $39??? I swear I responded to this yesterday. I get mine from a little dollar store that specializes in pet supplies (about 1/3 of the floor space). Their prices are pretty awesome, and so looking at sites like Pet Flow, Pet Food Direct, etc just make me cringe. I wen...

Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

A couple of friends are recommending something called NutriSource. The grain free is about the same price on Petflow. Anybody heard of them? NutriSource is becoming very prevalent around here, very heavily marketed in/by the independent shops. I've never tried it because I am not entirely impressed...

Re: High calorie, high fat diets/foods (non pit)

When I was looking for something similar to totw but higher calorie, I found Earthborn Holistic grain free formulas to be a great alternative. It keeps weight on my high metabolism dog better than anything I have tried.

Re: **Diamond Naturals dog food recall**

Natura, which has their own plant but is now owned by Eukanuba I believe, makes a pretty inexpensive food called Healthwise for Pets that is similar and meets the criteria listed: http://www.naturapet.com/brands/healthwise" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I am not sure if the "Pr...

Sorghum & Millet in dog food?

So there's been a guy posting on Craigslist recently on how he gets pet food in bulk and sells it for cheap, and I finally decided to contact him out of curiosity, just to see what he had going on. I told him I fed one dog Diamond Naturals and the others Earthborn Holistic (forgot to mention I fed t...

Re: Pug/Bulldog/Boston noses

I'm mostly looking for a moisturizer as preventative measures so I never have a dog with a gray, flaky nose. Blech.

I'm trying a free sample of a product called "Snout Soother," although it's probably a little too pricey to buy regularly.
