I cant tell you what it is but frankly, id call teh police and file a police report on the assumption someone tried to poison your dogs. I would call the police and they will have to test it as part of their investigation. From now on, no doggies outside unattended. As sad as it is, until you know,...

I got the exact same response. Must be a form response. If nothing else, maybe it will show them there are folks that do support it and we can be vocal when we want to.

He didn't eat the entire sandal though. Just the straps and he is now drinkin water. Unfortunately, rationalizing not going to the vet is not going to help. Best case scenario, you go to the vet and everything is well and it was just a scare, worst case, you don't go to the vet and your does dies f...

Regardless of the feelings on the temperment and socialization of the dog, if this reaction was a known issue, it is completely and totally irresponsible of the owner to foist this dog off on the groomer and say "Here, cut the nails" while the dog lunges and otherwise acts unstable. Either...

Aries gets 4 cups, and Lucy and Gemini each get 3 cups all with a teaspoon of yogurt on top. I am currently feeding the Maxximuum Nutrition Lamb and Rice formula.

Ear Injury Question

My girls were in the yard playing as they always do, and apparently, someone got a canine to go through the end of Aries's ear leaving a little hole. I would guess from the wound, it apparently happened about 2 days ago (I just noticed it last night). There was no blood that I could find anywhere (o...

Hmmm, not sure those pictures are too helpful, but it could be one of many things. It could be mange, fleas, allergy to food to environment, etc. I would check with your vet and have them take a look. APBT are definately known for skin issues. As for the Science Diet, I am sure they told you it is g...

Do you have Nylabones in Australia? They are hard nylon bones we have in the US and my dogs love them. They are durable, safe, and last quite a while.

This I know. What I read was that anatomically speaking, a break stick should not be used on other breeds as the alignment of their teeth is different and they do not have the gap between their teeth that will allow the stick to be used safely. Is that true? I doubt it, I'd never assume that a cert...

[quote="concreterose] Pit bulls (and terriers in general) have a fighting style of holding and shaking from side to side...other breeds jab and dart in and out when they are fighting...plus they will redirect on you quicker than a bull dog will. It is easier (and safer) to break off a bulldog d...

I personally think a break stick is a good idea when owning ANY multiple dogs - not just APBT's (well, maybe a popsicle stick would suffice for Chi's lol ) My great uncle had dauschunds for breeding/showing - from what I've heard, they are just as tenacious. If your dog is set on killing something ...
