Re: Is this a possibilty??? Please read...

Amy, I sent a pm to you.

I feel like Amy said. It may not be a scam but it sure is sketchy. I'd like more information on it before I send anything to help her out.

Re: Is this a possibilty??? Please read...

That's sort of what I was wondering about. Maybe she was misundertanding what they told her or I'm misunderstanding her. I thought a rescue would be non-profit & tax exempt. One possibility is she hasn't filed for tax exempt status. Another would be they aren't levying taxes but maybe fines for ...

Is this a possibilty??? Please read...

I got this email recently because I had logged my email with the rescue's web site. My son has adopted two pit bulls from them & I have been to the place myself. I thought the rescue was in good condition, all the adoptees are well cared for & looked great. She goes to the local animal shelt...

This is a good idea, Cree. Maybe the trainers & other owners here who've used e-collars can give some helpful advice to the rest of us that are wondering whether we would find them useful.

I use old basketballs that I find on the roadside. Usually they're slightly deflated anyway, so the dogs can get a grip on them. They mostly just run all over the yard with the ball. I did find the first one with a hole chewed in it but I threw it away before they could eat it. Charlie & Lealee ...

I would guess the vet checked for worms. What did your vet say about that?

If you feed them separately, it's like has already been said, you can monitor how much this pup is eating. Give him some time to start gaining weight, it may take a while for him to overcome the slow start he had.

All of mine, 2 girls & 2 boys, went to the back like there was the biggest cookie jar in the world in there! They were very happy to see me afterward though. I felt more comfortable knowing they weren't stressed over it, but it didn't make it any easier to leave them.

I had both my boys done the same day. They went through it just fine. The vet will give you an after care sheet to follow for feeding, care, & exercise directions. Mine had stitches inside & glue outside with no e collars. I didn't have any problems with them bothering the surgery site. Mayb...

That's a good idea. I'll check into that. I'm thinking that with the family plan & having more than one dog, the insurance may be best, since it seems that somebody always needs to see a vet.

There are 3 levels of coverage on each of the plans. I could get 1 dog covered for around $25 & 3 on a family plan for around $50 for the basics. That's by the month but there are annual payments too. The routine coverage would take care of teeth cleanings & extractions, heartworm tests &...

Anyone Have Pet Insurance?

So...I got 4 dogs speutered & micro-chipped recently. Part of the benefits from HomeAgain Microchips is a complimentary insurance policy that covers any injuries, etc that occurs while the dogs are lost. While registering the dogs for the insurance I see where I can get additional coverage that ...

I also didn't mean anything negative, Red. I don't know Angus myself, only what I've read in pit_friendly's other post. I have seen with my own dogs that they each need different types of training. Pit_friendly was about to have Angus pts until getting info on this trainer. He is making progress it ...

Not speaking in favor of either training method... However...I have 5 bullies, as most of you know. They are all so different in their personalities, attention spans, drive etc, that no one method works for them all. Each dog (of mine) needs different levels of discipline, voice tone, activity, trai...
