Sam-E and Milk thistle are both excellent for the liver... ask you vet, they shouldn't have any problems helping you out with a dose... I prescribe it all the time for the littlest things. Thanks everyone. He is back to pooping like a pro LOL :yipee:

His fur however has looked crappy since the surgery. I'm thinking the meds and anesthesia must have done a number on him....

The phosphorous levels are also what you need to look at . Kidney issues in dogs means they also need lower phosphorous.

So read up on the dogaware and naturals websites. You will find some great info.

Thanks and BIG sloppy pit bull kisses from Samurai! :) The hair on his butt is almost all grown back in and he isn't shooting out poop every time he barks now, so the muscles are getting strong again.

Often dogs with poor pigment which is sometimes associated with lighter colored or dilute coats coats may have more sensitive skin not always skin problems per say at least from what I've seen. More so really depends on the individual dog and the genetics behind it. It is pretty normal for white dog...

The surgery site seems to have healed ok and so far it is holding together....
