Re: Samurai had surgery...

Thanks everyone. He is back to pooping like a pro LOL :yipee:

His fur however has looked crappy since the surgery. I'm thinking the meds and anesthesia must have done a number on him....

Re: Re: A little help: Looking for a heavy duty crate

you actually want a crate with holes? Cheese graters?? Active dogs tend to mutilate themselves on them. It's been 5 years and my dog hasn't mutilated himself. I know tons of other Malinois owners that also have them. I've heard of way more dogs breaking teeth on bars. I specifically chose this one ...

Re: A little help: Looking for a heavy duty crate

Yes, Please let me know if they still have it, how sturdy it is and the measurements if possible. I'd be very interested. Thanks for your help. :)

Re: Tips for socializing/training puppies

Don't feel guilty for not starting right away, a lot of new pup owners don't knwo what they are supposed to do. I blame a lot of that on breeders and also understaffed shelters not giving out proper info. to knew owners as well as an owner not researching. At least you are making up for it now. :)

Re: Wellness Simple Solutions Vs Natural Balance

The phosphorous levels are also what you need to look at . Kidney issues in dogs means they also need lower phosphorous.

So read up on the dogaware and naturals websites. You will find some great info.

Re: Tips for socializing/training puppies

I'd give your vet a call for your own piece of mind and discuss it with him. Honestly as long as you are doing things at home and having her meet people like you were describing I'm sure all will go fine if you don't take her out. Ok, thanks for the advice. Never had a pit so I want to do everythin...

Re: Tips for socializing/training puppies

Yeah, I'm realizing how important that is. Today we had some kids over and the pup was very happy and social but when mom and dad game to pick them up she was very shy...still friendly but wanted to be in my lap all the time. Also, today I brought out the vacuum and she ran away like a bat out of h...

Re: Tips for socializing/training puppies

Question: What is the best way to socialize them while they don't have all their shots? Seems the critical period is when they are very young...but they won't yet be protected from disease. I'm a bit overly fanatical about that LOL. I invite specific people over and friends with kids I trust, they ...
