Sorry for my second double post, haha. I forgot to add in my original post, that his mother was euthanized for biting someone. In my opinion, the bite wasn't an out right attack, but it was still bite enough to have her PTS. The situation, as it was told to me, was that she was living in a garage w...

the only time my big boy decides to act like an ass is when he wants to play and he zoomies around and barks and growls, but in a really playful manner.

Has he had any unpleasant interactions with kids? Sorry for the bunch of questions, but I am just trying to understand the situation before I give you some kind of an answer.

Sorry, I forgot to add his age and stuff. I always assume everyone knows everything. Abel is still a puppy, he is almost four months old. I've had him for about two months. Ket I saw the pups on your avatar, but I was not quite sure whether they are the dog you are referring to. It is supr...

oh, believe me, i understand. a pitbull mix grabbed ahold of his throat a couple months back, and he was just going nuts. i tried to grab her, but it didn't work, so i kicked her as hard as i could. she let go. i felt bad, she's not a bad dog, i guess something just went wrong, but i had to get her...

hey. thank you. a couple responses: my dog responds really quickly to my commands. when we walk, he'll constantly look up at me, checking to see if he's doing a 'good job'. the only time i've had to tell him to do something more than once, was when his back right leg was acting up and it was a litt...

I have been taking my big boy to the dog park ever since he was 4 months old and he has been doing more than excellent. He is 19 months now and still does excellent, has regular doggie friends at the park and enjoys his time there. Also I know most of the people that go there and most of the people ...

If you are able and have the time I will tell you the best thing for an APBT - exercise!!! PLENTY of it!!! It will make your pup stronger, healthier, it will make your life much easier and the pup will be easier to control, train, etc. If you are not a jogger, buy a bike and start taking him biking...

Re: Help with pups interaction with my 11mo old girl.

I have an 8 week old male. He is a great dog, but has a nipping problem. I have read a bunch of thread on here, and have applied them. Using "ouch" works great for my wife and I, but my 11mo old little girl can't response the same way. She love her little puppy, but he just gets so excite...

If it was me, I would let the dog out of the crate without any additional commands. You should execute commands before going out for a walk for example, not before letting the dog, who has been in the crate for hours, go out of the crate.

Wesam - sorry to bash you here buddy, but I believe that having a mama dog who just gave birth to little doggies is usually not the best environment to bring other dogs/people around. I have seen 3 mama dogs in my life and ALL have been EXTREMELY protective and aggressive (without biting) towards hu...
