This is also the biggest arguement against the docking ban. Some breeds benefit from it greatly. And amputating this late in life it horribly painful for dogs :( I hope the super glue works! Bandaging never really works with dogs like ours, they would spend more time knawing on it, and we would spe...

My AB does this but my other dogs do not. At first it was really hard for me to figure out and he was actaully regurgitating as well. What I do now is I scoop the majority of the marrow out of the bones and I have never had a problem since. I think it was just the marrow that was upseting him. :dunno:

I have this problem with Rue too. The only thing that I do to prevent this is actually grabbing his tail, and in the process it actually keeps him calmer :)) So two birds with one stone, until I let go that is. But yes, welts, blood on the walls, pants, floors and it is not a pretty sight. I know so...

Last time I talked to the rep near me (about 3 months ago) he said the same thing. They are coming out soon but he wasn't sure exactly when.

Every pup I have had grows in sections, just like you are describing. Take lots of photos! That way you can look back and laugh at the goofy puppy pics :))

I am working on the house today (obviously taking a break now) but if I get out and about today while they are open I will stop in there and see if they have any more information and at least get the name so you can call em if you want. There is a recipe for that healthy powder (nut.breweres yeast,...

I am just paranoid about the dogs getting panceritis(sp?). Ok this is getting a little simpler now :) After I get some fish bones I am going to make the patties tonight. I have about 60 veggie cubes made right now but will be making more tonight as well... I think that is going to be the tedious par...

What about fish bones. I can grind fish bones without having someone else do it and I can get them from the fish market in the local store(lots of them). Do you think that would be as sufficient as cow femurs? I think cow femurs might have too much fat as well with the marrow inside. God my brian is...

Right now I just have steamed bone meal (I know) but I am looking for someone to make the grind for me. So far no luck. I might just try smashing the bones myself. Organ meat is going to be the beef heart(in the patties) and then on the next batch I will use something else. Either liver, kidneys, et...

Different colors have different vitamins.......and they taste totally different. I'm not a huge fan of green peppers but will eat large quanities of yellow and orange. I will eat a green bell pepper like an apple but I won't touch the other colors lol That is okay though, I will just leave those fo...

I found ONE heart right now. Thankfully I know several farmers that are willing to give me the hearts when they process a cow :)) I will have to see how often that will happen though. Other than that I have a meat market about a half hour from my work that carries hearts every so often(that is where...

Dog's new diet - go or no go?

Ok here is the diet that I am going to start feeding - excluding the actual break down chart of the nutrient value of the veggie mix. Meat patties : 6oz ground lean beef, 3 oz mackerel, and 2 oz beef heart(the heart patties are given every other day) Starting out at 1 & 1/4 patties at each feedi...
