Sasha's results are back!

I posted last week in the health forum, I had Sasha taken in to remove one growth and they did a biopsy on another. I just got off the phone with the vet, he said the tumors are BENIGN! She's going to be ok! She's still going to need surgery to remove all the tumors (the small ones aren't so bad but...

I don't know how much Sasha weighed at 9 months (she was 4.5 when I got her) but now, at 5 years old, she weighs 47lbs (down from 53-ish in Feb). My old APBT, Gracie, at 9 months old (we got her at 7 months) was about 45lbs, she topped off at 52lbs when she was 2.

I chose our vet at first because it was close by, and I had herd (from the lady I got Scarlett from) that he's very bully friendly, also because, at the time, I called around to compare prices and his was one of the lowest in my area. We went in and I'm SOO glad I chose him, not only is he a MAJOR b...

I mix in raw with the girls kibble most times. (sometimes they get a raw meal by itself). Been doing so for about 4-5 months now and haven't had any issues with it but whatever works for you. As long as the dog seems healthy and is happy with it :)

Just wanted to say thank you for the thoughts everyone. I keep expecting to see some sort of "distress" or something in Sasha (at least annoyance at the stitches) and she's just going about her day to day life like if nothing were going on, and that's helping to keep my head up. She's norm...

Sasha might have cancer =0(

Took Sasha to the vet for this growth that she's had on her neck, she's had it for about a month and until Monday it didn't look like anything but a big wart (she's had it for about a month now and we've been keeping it clean and putting antibiotic ointment on it, ect). The vet looks at it and ident...

Right now we just changed the girls over to Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul, we were going to go to TOTW, which I've heard is an excellent food but the CS is a bit cheaper for more food. The girls have been on it for about 3 weeks now (Scarlett just turned a year in March and Sasha's 5 but sh...

I saw on a show and I forget which one it is... But when a dog is in fear of something they shouldnt be, they were saying that you shouldnt pet or say it's ok, because that can encourage them to believe its ok to fear what it is they are fearing at that point in time. What do you guys think? Dog Wh...

Boobs

I'm not sure if this belongs here or in general so I figured here would be good for now :) Sasha has really really saggy boobs. It doesn't bother us in the least, I think she's beautiful regardless :) I was wondering, though, is there anything more specific I can do to help maybe, umm.... tighten th...

Thanks guys. I think I might have to deff work on my "tone" more, I tend to be very soft spoken and I'm trying to break it. When she see's another dog she's usually just a bit alert, but not tense unless the dog gets close (which we try to avoid) the other thing I noticed more recently is ...

When we see even the slightest behavior she gets a hush or no (calm down/stop), if it continues then she gets a 2nd verbal correction (no/sit/ leave it), if she still doesn't calm then she's removed from the situation. There's always PLENTY of praise when she does good and always a consequence when ...
