interesting. i def see what you mean but sicily is a bit difficult to read. behaviorally, she's kind of a unique dog. maybe i need to pay closer attention to her attention span.

thanks for the input so far, I appreciate it. I forgot to take pics last night though. see the thing is, I'm not really sure there is much of a difference in performance from pic 1 to pic 2, maybe slightly. right now she is about a pound or 2 over pic 1 and she seems to be in just as good if not bet...

So sicily is going on about 4 years old this summer. she has never had any physiological issues or major problems relating to her structure (she's a little roach backed and doesnt have the best feet/pasterns but not too bad). when it comes to her conditioning, I have always taken it pretty slow. ess...

i think the hardest thing for me was judging how intense of a workout it was for her at first. even to this day i dont give her any water for at least 10 minutes ater she finishes and wont feed her for 30 or so. how is ella when she gets off? does she seem like she just had a workout or just a stand...

i kept sicily at 3mph for almost a year. I think you know your dog well enough to just play it by ear. nowadays (with almost 2 years of practice) sicily walks @ 4.5 mph for about 90 minutes. i think we started at about 30 minutes or so. it really depends on how much ella likes it and what her attent...
