I am still waiting to hear from another specialist in LA, for a s...

Cyclosporine for IBD

Just wonder if anyone has had a dog on it, to treat/manage Irritable Bowel Disease. Tux had to go back on prednisone after the scare in May, when he had to be hospitalized ( http://www.pitbullforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=153604&hilit=tux ). He was taken in the first time he vomited, and the...

Re: Help with way to happy tail?

I opted to dock my Jack's tail when every type of bandage did not work, and I tried hard, and he was at risk of infection despite continuous vet care and i...

Re: Head collars

It doesn't help that I've seen a LOT of idiots recently with head harnesses on their large breed dogs. The harnesses were cutting into the dogs faces, pushing against the eyes, distorting the lay of the lips. The owners were allow the dog to drag them around, yanking on the dog's head, yelling at t...

Re: When does training turn to abuse?

Here is another example of how some people "train", at high level competition sport. This competitor, Patrick Keil has been recently excluded to participate in the FCI IPO in 2012 , because of the abuse seeing in the video. The dog is being beaten with a cattle prod, with a bunch of people w...

Re: When does training turn to abuse?

I don't have much to add other than reading these is making me more and more afraid to hire a trainer for boog. What does more damage? Me waiting too long to professionally train? Or some yutz lighting off fireworks to reinforce his stay command. I think ill wait thank you. Ugh. Such an eye opener!...
