Re: Hello!!! I'm about to adopt and have a few questions.

Honestly it's nice to see someone doing their research and really considering whether a dog will suit their home. APBT may not be the breed for you but it sounds like you will make a good owner for a different dog. Better to know that ahead of time than get a dog you can't deal with and end up rehom...

Re: Introducing Isis

Throw in a 3rd feeding, puppies should be fed a few times a day, just add another 1/2 cup until her weight looks better, shouldn't take long. She's cute!

Re: Shock Collars..?

I understand what your saying, but am I suppose to let her run away every time until she decides she want to stay around? Shes not easy to catch once she takes off, and with so many anti pitbull people, I'm scared she'll get shot if she runs! She slips off her collar if I put her on a long chain, a...

Re: Flirt pole help

You can make or buy one, it's a pretty easy concept, just need a pole with a rope. I use a lunge whip for horses, one of my dogs likes to chase the string, not a toy and I use one of those non stuffed squirrels for the dog that wants a toy to go after.

Re: How can I "punish" her.

Don't allow her on your bed unless you invite her and teach her "off", she gets on the bed, you lure her down with a treat or toy, doesn't take long for most dogs to catch on ime. You start shoving her off all you've accomplished is making it a fabulous wrestling game. Most dogs get revved...

Is there anyone else around that can help? Like take momma out to potty and have some yums and others go in and handle puppies.

Re: Hello to all

You do realize there's no such thing as a "XL" pit bull right? There aren't different size groups in APBT, sounds like you have American Bullies.

Re: When does training turn to abuse?

Well the trainers around here are praised for choking dogs out and shocking them to the point of losing bowels and a friend called the cops on someone a few blocks down for beating their husky with a 2 x 4 to teach him not to chew on it. They didn't care. It seems to be perfectly acceptable to hurt ...

Re: What people pay money for

The trainer in question, according to hear say, is attempting to sue the videographer. He believes it is a slanderous video and has caused his business to dwindle to minimal privates . Yeah I hope so....what an idiot, videos of your training is turning away customers, maybe it's a clue you should l...
