Re: 3 Months post knee surgery

I think the vet would have to check it out. I don't know what surgery he had done but my girl had a tplo and the surgeon said they are pretty durable, takes a lot for a dog to actually wreck them although it does happen. Hopefully just pulled or strained something, you can probably call and ask, her...

Re: Nero had a seizure

The first time he did it we thought he was chasing a bug, but he's not. But yes, it's exactly the same behavior although more erratic than if he was after a bug . My b/f thought maybe it was eye goobers too, he often has them but I made a point to check today and didn't see anything, could be like f...

That should work if you click on it, little jumpy in the beginning.

Re: Nero had a seizure

Hate to bump this back up again but he started doing it again today, on and off but it's weird because you can somewhat snap him out of it or he'll stop for awhile, and then do a quick head snap and that's it. Got a better video of what it's really like without someone holding him down but it's not ...

Re: Bloody nails?

it is usually a symptom of yeast candida, do some googling on (Yeast candida in dogs). yeast can be a real problem with your dogs health a nd well being. I told my b/f I thought it was yeast and we mentioned that to the vet as well but he wasn't worried about it. Jersey's is still there, but seems ...

Re: Bloody nails?

Both of my female dogs have this, they are on different diets, the older girl is much worse and we asked the vet about them, he wasn't concerned about it.

Re: New Pit owner from southwest Oklahoma

Those like more like Ambullies than APBT. Are you sure that pup is 11 weeks old in that pic? Looks small and maybe just the picture but looks rather flat footed to me, do you have a pic of her standing? Sounds like you are off to the right track potty training, puppies are time consuming for sure.

Re: Hello from KY

Pit bulls are terriers so prey drive is usually high, raising a puppy with a cat does not mean they will get along forever, this breed is also particularly terrible at "guarding" anything, although many will alert bark and their appearance will deter many people. Personally for your situat...

Re: hey

Again, no one can say if the dog is purebred or not so can't say if she's normal size, normally females are 30-50 pounds as adults so she sounds fine. And getting a "blue pit with papers so you can breed" is exactly what a backyard breeder is, did you bother to read any of the links posted...

Re: hey

Well I'm sure she's full of blood, most dogs are, as far as purebred or not, if you didn't get papers probably not. Cadillac isn't a bloodline, they probably meant Camelot but either way you can't tell by looking at a dog what bloodline they are or if they are purebred. I hope you reconsider breedin...

Re: Allergies or Mange??

My male loses hair very similar in the summer due to environmental allergies, he gets hives sometimes too. The vet always wants to start antibiotics and medicated shampoos, they don't seem to make a difference so we've done three rounds of that over the years (2 different vets ) and now I just leave...

Re: Riddle's TTA recovery thread

Her leg looks great! I hope that seroma goes down for you, Jersey had one that got big fast and then burst, it was right after an appt so think maybe the moving around made it worse but it was gross and she was leaking fluid everywhere.
