Did you worry it would break, or did you at least feel secure about its strength?

Re: Kibble sizes

Thanks, Sharon! Vitality's not my favorite either, but I got a bunch of sample bags of it and Happy Hips, and free is good! The dogs like it fine, and it could certainly be worse, so for occasional use I don't mind it. It so far is my favorite in the Kibble Nibble, which has a very large mouth, so o...

Kibble sizes

Everyone in the house is now on raw (Lib being the last convert a few weeks ago, everyone else has been for a couple of years), but that limits the use of the food dispensing toys that I like very much. Liberty now gets all of her meals out of kongs, but I like to mix things up so she doesn't have t...

Re:

I see you're located in Spain. What is the attitude towards pit bulls/bully breeds over there? Any BSL issues? Unfortunately yes, we have our own BSL. By now there isn't any ban breed. But there are some rules to became this dog owner. You have to be more than 18 years old, pass a psychotecnic test...

Re: Liberty on the Homefront

Spend two minutes of your day with Liberty! This is what I call the "Dog Chair". I never use it, but the cats sit on the back to look out the window, both dogs nap in it, and they stand up and look out the window too. When she's over-excited, because she forgets she is not the same size as...

Re: Uh Oh...mad at me? or just being a jerk?

Dogs are very concrete thinkers. He was potty trained in your old home, but may not have generalized that to this new place. On top of that, there's another dog, which means other dog-smells, maybe other dog-potty-smells. Pretend he's just at the end stages of potty training but not 100% yet. Reteac...

Re: Decided on food change. Ween or not Ween?

What breed is the puppy? Unless the food specifically states it's for All Life Stages (Taste of the Wild and Canidae do this, probably others I can't think of) feed the age appropriate formulas. In all cases, weening is generally best. Some animals don't have an issue with a quick change, but some d...

Re: Male or Female pitbull?

Was she big at 5 months old? Also at that age can you still train them the way u want..See i was told if you get a pitbull older then like 3 months then it might not listen to you and be used to how it was trained or treated before you..Also more of a chance it can turn on you. This is what Iwas to...

Hi! As per our rules, we do not allow owner surrenders. However, you say "I just can't give her up" and if you'd like for us to try to find a way for you to keep her, please give us a more complete intro (there's a sample at the top of this forum you can use as a guide) so a moderator can ...

Re: Male or Female pitbull?

Plus, at a shelter or rescue, the fee will likely be the same as what you'd pay those BYBs, but would include most (if not all) shots, and usually the speuter as well!

Re: Male or Female pitbull?

Go (preferably to a responsible shelter or rescue) and meet the pups, see their individual personalities, and choose that way, not based on gender or color or any other physical attribute (other than conformationally sound). What do you plan on doing with your dog? Is he or she going to be a house p...

Re: APBT Search Dogs

Some dogs spark him, but they're maybe 1% of the population (and I have no idea what puts them in that category). He's not crazy about little yappy dogs, having been bitten by two of them when he was around 1, but I'm not crazy about little yappy dogs either, so that works just fine for both of us. ...
