When we got Tucker on thanksgiving day we kept him in an isolated area and he went to the front yard to go potty until he went to the vet and his parvo test was negative... it was tough on the little guy and on the big girls but not worth possibly losing 4 dogs over..There are serious outbreaks here...

Sometimes they will eat it when they are eating to fast.. its like a second shot at nutrition.. they could hand feed them which will pace the pups eating and slow it down some.. Pineapple is also awesome to give them after they eat their regular meal.. Puppies eat to fast its normal and because they...

One thing I did with a dog I had that was very aggressively guarding was take total control of the feeding.. food was given in handfuls a little at a time until gone and we continued this for sometime... then when that made progress I sat the bowl down on the floor next to me with my hand on the bow...

My dogs health and well being is far more important than a romp at a dog park... period! She gets socialized by going places with me on a leash in a controlled environment.. We have 3 other dogs to play with.. and she goes to obedience classes... the dogs go for runs in the desert Again her health a...

Jazmine and Sierra both take benedryl on a regular basis.. but I only give them 1 25mg each which is far below a normal dosage for them.. I totally screwed up today though.. I always give it at bed time so they sleep off the worst of it.. well I realized that I forgot to give it to them yesterday so...

We also sat next to her petting her as we did it. .putting our hand in the bowl with the food.. I had been told dogs who eat fast like that can have some ...

Thanks everyone for the response... I got some more puppy food tonight and will start mixing it in with the big girls food slowly... My heavier dog Misty is not really "overweight" but we see the potential which is why I measure out all 4 dogs food and keep them on a strict schedule.. We a...

We took her and it's basically a waiting game now. She definitely has an upper respiratory infection. It could be bordatello, for which she was given antibiotics. But... it could be distemper. We just have to wait maybe 3 weeks to see if she develops any more symptoms. So far she hasn't had a fever...
