As someone who isn't currently directly involved with rescue, but has done fostering, I would think that a shelter/rescue/what-have-you wouldn't be responsible for damages. People who offer to foster dogs should know that some risks come with it and the best thing the rescue/shelter could do is prep...

Me too! Our entire patio is covered in pollen, along with most of the neighborhood. It looks like a bunch of children attacked the neighborhood w/ yellow chalk. We're moving at the end of April.

That's how Ruby's bumps were. She was itching like a maniac b/c of environmental allergies and it caused a secondary skin infection. Good times. :woowoo:

Went to the vet and found out that she does have a skin infection caused by scratching and the scratching is mostly caused by an environmental allergen, like pollen. So she received a steroid shot and some antibiotics. Yay for figuring out what the bumps were.

I was thinking of dousing a washcloth in an apple cider vinegar mixture and wiping her down with that. She hates baths and I figure I could spare her the agony. Plus, the husband is out of town and baths are a two person plus peanut butter job. lol

We switched to Zyrtec because the Benedryl wasn't helping with the itch.

Ruby's Got Bumps

I would take a picture, but I can't get close enough to her with the camera to see the bumps. They're all over her back, neck and shoulders. First, the bump forms, then it bleeds and the hair falls out and then it scabs up. I was thinking that it was an allergy thing, but then I saw ewwie's post in ...
