Re: Bladder control

Jd used to be so bad that if you even said the word "outside" before you had your shoes and coat on, and the leash on him...he would start to pee in front of the door...i'm glad to hear that more frequent trips is starting to work...it sounds like more of a training/behavior thing than a m...

Re: Bladder control

My Khan does this weird thig where almost every time he goes outside he pees 2 or 3 times. Every dog I have ever had before only pees once :dunno: and I am talking in like a 10 minute period too! Sprry for the DP, this was the other thing I had wanted to mention...I learned after a few accidents wi...

Re: Bladder control

When Jd was younger he had started associating peeing on the floor as a cue to let me know he wanted to go out...because if he did it, we would rush him outside...I broke him of that by taking him out every hour, every 2 hours etc...and instead of bringing him out when he did it, he went in his crat...

Re: Acepromazine experiences

Ace is given to anyone with a healthy dog who needs sedation during 4th of July fireworks... NOT for dogs with issues biting etc... And I would never force Ace on someone who wanted to try something else... there's what, a dozen other options out there for behavioral management??? Ace is for sedati...

Re: JD went lame today :(

We were playing ball, but the surgeon said that if he was going to tear it, it had nothing to do with his activity levels, he could have torn it walking up the stairs. I honestly think looking back on the past few weeks, he may have been having issues, such as small tears...he had been weak on that ...

Re: JD went lame today :(

He's making me so sad :( Everything I know from work has gone out the window...like there is bruising, but how much bruising is normal? And it's swollen, but not edemenous. How much swelling is normal? There is no discharge from the incision. He keeps whining, but that could be because he can't do t...

Re: JD went lame today :(

  I cried in the car all the way home after we dropped Molly off for her surgery. I wasn't scared for her and I totally trusted the surgeon but yeah, knowing she was going to have a really intensive surgical procedure done made me really emotional. You know he'll be fine  Thanks, I d...

Re: JD went lame today :(

So I almost had to postpone jds surgery for financial issues, but on a whim I applied for care credit, thinking it was a pipe dream...and they actually approved me for more than double the amount I need! Which means since i'm paying the surgery off within the next 3 weeks, I will still have an emerg...
