Re: What IS this bump on Cash's stomach?

JD had one on his chest, and we removed it and had it biopsied. Originally they couldn't figure it out with a cytology...he was also really bothered by it...glad to hear it turned out well

Re: Little Black bug ID

At this point since you "popped" them you need to make sure the heads aren't still in her skin, it can get really nasty...

Re: Lymph node?

It's my understanding that in most cases if it is a mast cell tumor- mast cells will show up in abundance with an aspiration. Did he mention hystiocytoma? That's what JD had, the vet also mentioned MCT to me at that time, but nothing showed up when she looked on the slide, we removed it an biopsied ...

Re: Bumps...Mosquito bites? Ticks? Help?

I agree it sounds like hives, my boy just broke out last night, at first I thought bites too because there were only a few, then he had them all over his whole body...poor thing was so miserable. But the benadryl stopped them from spreading, and this morning there were only a few spots.

Re: incase of toads

That same toad is killing all of the native wildlife in australia, they secrete the poison from thir skin as a defense mechanism. It's the Cane toad...well Bufo marinus. I did a speech on it last year.

I've heard bag balm works, basically it's just from the pressure of laying on it, a lot of dogs have it. I wouldn't worry about it so much if it isn't bothering her.

So glad she's ok, we had a hospital cat at the practice i used to work at. Someone decided to put dried foxtails in the waiting room, and Louie decided to eat them, well a branch caught in his trachea, punctured through and he wound up with subcutaneous emphesema (air under the skin) blew up like a ...

Diarrhea...for 5 days?!

Ok so I have already spoken to my vet a few times, she is a friend of mine, so I can call her whenever I want. :) No tests have been done, we both have been holding off to see if supportive care would work. I recently changed Maya's food, a little quicker than I should have, and she is a puppy vacuu...

Benadryl will relax her making it easier to breathe and make her cough less...but I don't believe it has any bronchial dilating properties

First of all, I give you a lot of credit for adopting a senior, to me it would be too hard. I know with the arthritis and the ACL injury she is bound to have good and bad days, pain medications will help, but if she over does it one day, she will be very painful the day after...the best advice is to...

JD had one that got so gross it looked like a possible mast cell tumor...so we had it removed. Everything we tried to make it better just seemed to make it worse...if it's not bothering him, I probably would just leave it alone, it's really just inflammation so anything you do may anger it more :(
