Re: Tully at the Chinese medicine vet

For what's it worth. Dot's breeder, who happens to be a Vet. Actually did Chinese Medicine with her aging Presa. While she still doesn't move as fast as she use to, she seems to be in better health body and mind. The last time I seen her, she did her "woo, woo" song for me, and nice little...

Re: Whats the best way to slow down a puppys eating?

Work to eat toys, as some had suggested, throwing the food on the floor is good to, and you can use boxes, lots of boxes, and hide the food in them or under them.

Re: How to gain weight w/o going broke

Amber I had a heck of a time keeping weight on Dot with Earthborn, she was eating five to six cups a day, and she's not a large dog by any means, she is very small. Just add some salmon oil and flaxseed oil pills in the kibble to help with the coat. Or check out Solid Gold Seameal with flaxseed, tha...

Re: How to gain weight w/o going broke

rice works well too, cottage cheese, and changing the food. a friend of mine feeds her ABD Diamond Extreme Athlete formula, not the best thing out there, but the dog keeps weight on, and is muscular, and healthy. Everything else, she was feeding five and six cups a day, and going broke.

Re: Fleas *sob!*

Why don't you use some capstar, until you figure out if there are fleas in the house, or have it taken care of.

Re: hair loss in a puppy

depending on your spending limit, there is Earthborn Puppy food, Solid Gold, Blue Buffalo, Nutri Science, Rotation, lots of good foods out there. I had a foster with bad demodex, I put her on a all stage life food, grain free, gave her salmon oil supplement, and she was on ...can't think of it..not ...

Re: hair loss in a puppy

Looks like demodex..get a skin scrap done just to make sure. A good high quality food, and some supplements will help the heal process. Also getting a spay/neuter done, will help subside the hormones, and prevent possible re-occurrence.

I stand behind what I stated. Had it been up to me, Bug would of came to intact, and remained intact for at least two years before spaying.

Re: Best time to spay

I will say, that agility dogs take a beating on the course, the impact on their joints, the sharp turns at full speeds. If you can live with going threw one heat cycle, then opt for after a year. Ugghh..but, heat cycles are annoying..thank god Dot is almost threw her season..lol

Re: Breeding Q- No Im not breeding my speutered dogs :P

it is a fairly large place, they have a MRI center too. I know that she does xrays at day 53 (I am going off the top of my head), and then does a ultra sound about a week later or so...she's is one of those breeders that over does it all..LOL..and that's not a bad thing.
