Sharon , it has only taken me all day long to realize why the pellets have to be tucked into the cheek pockets  (approximating the human sub-lingual administration). Any tips on keeping the pellets in there and in your experience, how long did they take to dissolve? I used to hold tinctures s...

Have you tried the Earth Bath wipes already? I like using those if Molly gets dirty in between her once a month baths. They are pricier than regular baby wipes but I think they are a bit milder and we also use the Earth bath liquid soaps. If his coat and skin get dried out, do you think there's a wa...

I have seen the Traumeel as well, there's a store in my neighborhood that's like a mini-Whole Paycheck that carries that and a bunch of the Boiron stuff – good to know that can work too as they don't always keep everything well in stock.

Sharon, thanks for the tips on the tablet handling – the homeopathic stuff sure can be fussy! I will make sure to do the administration in one of those two ways (and I look forward to catching up with you).

Thanks tiva for that timeline – I would not have thought 6 weeks total but I will definitely keep her from running for another two weeks now. Molly's annual check-up is next week anyway (but I will bring her in sooner if it looks like it's still bothering her by the end of this week). sharon (wher...

I've used it myself several times and it's not great for pain relief but it did prevent an injury I got from bruising over (and it definitely was the sort of bump/scrape that would bruise). It is more for helping muscle aches and trauma from injury and is supposed to help muscles recover faster. My ...

Thanks Red. I put some on her a little while ago and she's asleep in bed now. I'm going to see how she does on our morning walk tomorrow. I was able to find info about giving the tincture or the homeopathic tablet form but not topical use. The gel dissipated really quickly (I have the Boiron brand t...

Arnica Gel on the dog???

I'm pretty sure that Molly pulled a muscle today during lure coursing – bad me for not giving her sufficient cool down walks after her runs. After examining her and making sure it's not her foot, it seems that there's a muscle group on her inner left thigh that might be a bit inflamed so I don't w...

What do you mean by the "it'll eat when it's hungry trick"? What I have done in the past is to put the food bowl down for 15 minutes and then take the bowl away when the 15 minutes is up, regardless of whether my dog touched the food or not. She missed two meals in a row; and then missed o...

Molly is allergic to beef also: symptoms were gunky ears and her toes were red and she licked them a lot. She didn't tolerate dehydrated lamb lung very well either. She gets a fish-based food (TOTW Pacific Stream) and fish and chicken based treats. Chicken jerky and dehydrated chicken liver don't ca...

I think Red posted a picture or a link to one a while ago – it might be in the equipment section or a thread related to apartment dwelling (i.e. no backyard) – I can't remember exactly.

The articles I have read about bloat are similar to what Beowulf linked to – associated with water/air intake during eating and eating too fast. I make sure Molly doesn't do any running around for at least 30 min prior to and 2hrs after eating a meal or drinks too much water immediately after a me...
