Re: new addition!

Welcome. I may not entirely like my own province, but when BSL began plaguing Ontario, I was glad for the provincial line. It hasn't seemed to cross as of yet, but who knows? We can only hope. Are you close to the Quebec border at all? I'd love to see pictures of your pittie. 100 lbs seems huge!! Is...

Re: What's Up?!

Hi Frank, contrary to popular belief, there aren't really any 'types' of Pit Bull in the sense that I believe you are referring to. Quite often you'll hear of people using the term 'red nose' or 'blue nose' but that literally just refers to the color of the nose - don't be fooled by people who try t...

Re: Tri-Natural foods (please look at ingredients)

Thanks for the replies.

I think the reason why it adds up to more than 100% is that they are listed as minimums or maximums.

I'm going to look into the protein %s. I feed my dogs this as well as a raw diet. Dolly's allergies are all but gone now.

Re: Good dog food for low budgets?

I switched my dogs over to raw and let me tell you - even with getting 1/2 beef and 1/2 pig every 6 - 8 months ... It is NOT cheaper. I don't do it for the price though, its because Dolly has had some moronic issues with allergies that for some reason, no vet can explain, so I took matters into my o...

Tri-Natural foods (please look at ingredients)

This is a Canadian food company so I'm not sure if you guys have it in the states. It is called Tri Natural Lean Cuts and it is a wet food. It says it is real meat no fillers. The ingredients are as follows: Fresh ground lean beef steak and roast meat, beef liver and kidney, carrots, vegetable gums,...

Re: Kierra

:welcome: She looks like a real handful! Shes awfully cute. If you're having a hard time handling her, obedience courses may be a good route for you. There are also tools that you can use like head collars and such but I wont get into them much here as theres quite a debate about them on the boards....

Re: Adoption Application References

You've probably already contacted the references, but the best reference to have is that from a vet, because the potential adopter could get any friendly yahoo to tell you exactly what you want to hear. usually, we ask them what they can tell us about the adopter. We always tell them that there is m...

Re: Confused about local animal shelter

ugh, animal shelters that operate like that make me cringe :s I could never imagine euthanizing a perfectly adoptable dog, luckily, with us, it would never happen. Hopefully, over time, if you're willing, you could try to convince them to place them, or atleast contact a bully breed rescue and see i...

It saddens me that you have a puppy that should still be with its mother, none the less, this forum has the potential to be a great ressource for you, first though could you give us a bit more details about how you got interested in the breed and how your dogs came into your life?

Papers don't mean too much anymore, so without them, you're not lacking much. Your dog is gorgeous, could you give us some more details on how he came into your life, and how you became interested in the breed?

Your pup is gorgeous. I'm so sorry to hear about Juelz, it seems like you were trying to do the best you could with a crummy situation.
