I just caught Lila literally eating her cloth frisbee. God I pray it will pass through her and not give her a blockage. I now have to basically hover over her to make sure shes not eating things.

My flea prevantative of choice is Revolution. I have been using this on my cats for years. It works great on my cat with flea allergies. I just ordered some for Lila.

I am now feeding her Diamond Naturals Chicken and Rice and she is doing much better. Of course we are being treated for a skin infection...

Lila went to the vet today.....

She does not have mange. However, when the vet came in the room he says. "I just don't know what we are going to do with her." He said her skin is the worst he's seen this summer. He put her on Cephalexin 2 times per day and now she is taking a steroid pill everyday. He also wants her bath...

Advocate..... (fleas, worms, mites, sarcoptic mange etc.)

Has anyone ever tried Advocate ( http://www.hoofanhound.com/neadallinone4.html ) on their dogs for sarcoptic mange? I was reading online that I would be able to get rid of the mange after just one use. Of course I would use it for 3 months since you have to buy a 3 month supply. Looks like its made ...

The more I am reading the more I think Lila has mange and unfortunately I think its sarcoptic. I did purchase the Chlorhexiderm shampoo, flush and the malaseb wipes. These came yesterday. Today I ordered the Chlorhexiderm 4% spray and goodwidol ointment. I bathed Lila yesterday in the Chlorhexiderm ...

I purchased a small bottle rather than a gallon to see if it works better than the pine tar shampoo bars I make.

Again thanks for the suggestions.

What I do, because Ella has extremely sensitive skin and is more susceptible to skin infections, I have some Chlorhexiderm 2% rinse that I put into a spray bottle and I wipe her down everytime we come in from outside. I just spray it on her and use a towel to rub it into her coat/skin. I also have ...

I use neem in my doggie shampoo bars and I use my pine tar shampoo bar on Lila for her skin issues. Her skin looks better within an hour or so after a bath, its not red and irritated and I think shes actually learned "Golly this really does feel better so I will get in the tub willingly now!&qu...
