I think some dogs just have that kind of personality...

I've had two dogs (strangely enough both female) that despite a good and secure upbringing were INSANE about food... I've never had a male dog that was that way...hmmm.

If you find out let me know! Maybe you could teach her to 'cluck' or say something to the dog before touching them so they turn around? My seven month old is fascinated with my two dogs and seems to like to grab whatever is small enough to fit in his hands...foot, ear, leg... Luckily the dogs are ge...

Mine smell a bit like dry grass or sometimes Fritos. I had a foster that was a bit funky kind of cheesy, but she had a tendency towards yeast infections of the skin. She smelled the worst when we first got her from the shelter and got somewhat better on good dog food.

Hang in there. Our Puny has been known to 'pinch' when overstimulated (usually when she and our other dog are competing for attention with an unfamiliar person) and I'm absolutely certain that if I put her in a situation with children running and yelling, she'd probably do that same thing. Just the ...

The confounding thing may be that some dogs will appear totally cat safe in one environment only to unleash their cat killer instincts in another (a new foster home or, god forbid, new home). The temporary lack of structure or change in routine or change in cats allows their prey drive to overcome a...

I'm in the depends on the dogs and the situation crowd... Mooches gets a pop on the rump every month or so when he gets so revved up he won't pay attention and do what he knows how to do. An example of this is that he knows he is supposed to ignore other dogs on walks. Sometimes though, he will get ...

I agree about the environment not being good. Sounds like Chauncie needs a stronger base in obedience (though he sounds like he's come a long way!) and socialization before he could handle the chaos of people and Bear.
