About the kong thing...If he doesn't like it, try something else a hefty femur bone, or different stuffing in the kong (peanut butter with little bits of meat mixed in???)... Dogs, like people, have definite preferences. You just have to figure out what he thinks is groovy.

I guess I'm not quite sure what behavior you are wanting from your dog... are you saying you want to send her outside and then call her back in when she's done?
