I know! It seems like yesterday they were young and full of vigor. :( Nyx is 13 but will be fourteen in less than two months. Venus is 15. I know I should really be thankful as those are pretty good ages for them to make it to. Marz only made it to twelve although she was bigger than Venus and Nyx s...

We would keep Bailey in a heart beat, and it has definitley crossed my mind since she's been with us for over a year! lol Only thing I worry about is her allergies seem so much worse here and I can't figure out why. :huh?: I thought pulling all the rug out would help but not so much. Maybe the cat? ...

I read this on one site... "Wash them with Dawn dish detergent, lather it and leave on for about 3-5 minutes then rinse thoroughly." If you have a flea comb in the meantime, start combing and picking. Fleas can make a pup anemic so it's important to get rid of them. Definitley call the vet...

The other thing that came to my mind as well, was inquiring with the shelters if there has been any dogs with kennel cough at that shelter in the past six months or something like that. One thing I've worried about if I did choose to take a dog that's been in a shelter/boarding, is that quite often,...

I wonder if one compromise is to take "healthy" adult animals instead of puppies, since puppies have lowered immune systems? Since you say this particular bacterial infection is rare, and infections that cross species are all pretty rare, maybe this is something you won't have to deal wit...

Like seriously, just for an example of how insane it can be for a CF person with a bacteria known to be very bad for them in many cases, taken from the CCFF site... "What activities would be considered a risk with respect to the acquisition and transmission of B. cepacia complex in a person wit...

I don't know anything about CS. But I do know that there are many bacterial and viral infections that only affect immunocompromised individuals. So often little is known about these illnesses, since they occur so rarely in healthy individuals. That's exactly the case with CF. They do regular throat...

Just to add, right now we are just doing the nineteen week quarenteen so I know it's gone from my household. None of my dogs got it, but I think my cat did and honestly, I think everyone who handled the puppies may have as we all had colds and a cough. So weird that the dogs didn't. Even the old gir...
