upset stomach this morning

Ashes threw up a few times last night, just little urps of digested and undigested food. She spits up fairly often as she has trouble keeping water down, I've asked vets about it numerous times and they said it was nothing to worry about. I assumed that was the problem and wasn't too concerned. When...

Re: Why small dogs bark?

Mica (pit bull) starts barking at "nothing" when she's been in the crate too long (for her standards). Techincally, there are things she is barking at-but they are things that she normally doesn't blink an eye at such as a cat walking by her crate or the sound of a Q-tip falling on a pillo...

Re: aggression

If the parents were fighting dogs it is possible that your puppy may have aggression towards other dogs. Generally, pit bulls are more bred to fight then they are trained to fight. Training won't pass genetically through dogs, bred in instincts will. Though if the parents were friendly towards peopl...

Re: Will this cause a problem....?

Even if you most likely will have to crate and rotate in the future, its a good idea to start helping him be calm around your other dogs now! I am very lucky in my current rotation set up because my dogs do not want to kill each other all the time. They can both be separated by a baby gate and prett...

Re: Please think of her

I am so sorry. So glad you are there with her, she achieved so much, worked so hard, and was loved so much. She is a prime example of the breed, and you are a prime example of a great dog owner. Have a safe journey beautiful Tig.

Re: in house tie out system?

Don't mind at all! I think the length would matter simply for what you want. I think mine will be about 5 feet, the main use would be for breaking up a fight, but would give enough length if I wanted to set up a dog bed there.

Re: Babesia, a reminder

It sounds like from what I read (and unfortunately I'm not good at technical jargon) that it is hard to get an accurate test for it?

Re: Reason for dogs eating other animals poo?

If a dog eats poop, fine ok. The one down side of poop eating-is poop vomit. There is nothing in the world worse the cleaning up poop vomit. Or having your lovely little dog, who after eating out of the litterbox, climbs on you, and poop vomits all over your lap.

Re: Babesia, a reminder

If you catch it early in your dogs, are there things you can do to treat it even though it isn't causing symptoms? On average how much does it cost to test for it? Ashes came from the South, and because of Mica's build and a few other hints I don't think her life was headed for great intentions. I'd...

Re: Please think of her

I'm so sorry! Glad she is fighting it and glad you know what is wrong.

I'd be happy to donate some to her vet bills. I can't do much, but I could do something. You give so much time and info to the members here, and you do a hell of a lot for these dogs-I would love to help in anyway possible.
