Re: Pedigree problems

My dog had digestive issues on Pedigree and a severe allergic reaction that consisted of vomiting/diarrhea. Once your pup is well, consider transitioning to a food that has meat as the first ingredient.

Re: Kitten losing fur.

Has the cat had any vet care? Could be ringworm or mites.

Re: Royal Canin SO food?

My male has been on Urinary SO for 6 months or so and - knock on wood!!! - has been doing OK. He had issues previously on Wellness canned, then on a prescription diet of Hill's C/D (he wouldn't touch the Purina UR). With a cat that has FLUTD , the owner must be diligent in observing the cat's litter...

Re: New pitbull owner, maybe, not sure if he is or isnt

welcome to the forum that is a very cute pit bull (or X) puppy your girl friend "found"! He must have been very young when she 'found' him if you have had him for a couple weeks now. Hershey is a good name for a chocloate pit bull puppy? (the public already thinks of this breed as beasts/...

Re: K9 Advantix or Frontline Plus?

I prefer Advantix, as it's safer than Frontline, in my experience. Haven't had a problem with it yet.

Re: At what age is this breed considered a senior?

@Amie: I understand, as I'm in the same boat. Of the 4 cats, 3 are seniors (Brooke is 13, and Gabi and Birdie are 10), and although Maus is only 4 1/2 he's suffered from various health problems since he was a kitten and we don't expect him to have a long lifespan. :( It's hard to think about losing ...

Re: Is this Doberman ACNE?

My cat Maus is prone to acne , so he gets only metal or ceramic bowls. I had bought a pet drinking fountain for him that was plastic, and his little chin broke out. :( Animals with white or light colored chins/muzzles are more prone to it I'd think. http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/1874/mauswatchd...

Re: At what age is this breed considered a senior?

Oscar "became" a senior this Sunday - we celebrate his birthday on July 4, and this one was number 7. It's killing me. I cannot tolerate the thought of losing him. Even just typing this is making me cry. And I know it's ridiculous, and I know it's just a number and not a death sentence, b...

Re: Allergy relief? Severe itching...

hershey has allergies too. after a few different diets, he's been doing pretty well on EVO except for flareups of the skin. the vet put him on Chlorpheneramine, bc benadryl and hydroxyzine didn't really work well for him.
