Re: Rally Question

Everything is kind of up in the air right now. I just remembered my mom will be in town from FL, and were supposed to be having the monthly family dinner at our house either that weekend or the next. So hopefully it works out and we can make it. If we cant make it, maybe we can still walk the dogs s...

Re: Rally Question

When and where is this? Got link? I just peeked in the events section and didn't see it. Would be fun to watch!! I was thinking the same thing! Paige - were on your way south, if your looking for a nice place to walk Maili before or after Gus wants you and Maili to know that he loves meeting pretty...

Re: Pulled muscle, or worse?

I hate that I even have to ask this, but since there is absolutely no way we can afford surgery right now, what precautions do you guys suggest to help the situation not to degrade any further in the meantime? I'm unemployed, so its easy for me to limit his activity, but that is also the reason we c...

Re: Pulled muscle, or worse?

Well this morning, Gus is acting completely normal. The neighbors just adopted a new dog so he is all hyped because it keeps barking. Before we could leash him he had a case of zoomies up/down the stairs and through the hallway. I had to jump in front of him and grab him to stop him. And he is not f...

Re: Pulled muscle, or worse?

I checked everything very thoroughly - his whole foot, between the pads, moved each toe. Pulled his leg up and down, then back and forward. Squeezed everything and nothing. He is acting perfectly fine now, he's even trying to run around and play. Of course we're not letting him, and i will probably ...

Pulled muscle, or worse?

A few weeks ago Gus was running up the stairs and when he got to the the hallway at the top we heard a whimper, so we ran up to see what was wrong and he wouldn't put his weight on his back left leg. We rubbed it, and moved it around to make sure it was nothing serious and he seemed perfectly fine a...

Re: Handling Raw Meat

We arent crazy paranoid over here about handling raw meat either... just wash our hands and any utensils and thats about it. We feed our dog almost everything frozen - but mainly because he will scarf it down in half a second if its thawed, and he doesnt seem to mind it being frozen. Probably the be...

Re: Riley being rushed into the emercency vets today;

I would apply for care credit as well, even just to have it as a back up. They usually give you a period of no interest (6mos - 1yr) to get the balance paid off. Fingers and paws crossed that Riley is okay!

Re: Can raw diet cause dog drink excessively?

Theres a possibility the scales are off - yours or the vets. I know at the vets since they get so much use they have to be calibrated every so often. Have you tried weighing her yourself on whatever scale you used before?

Re: Can raw diet cause dog drink excessively?

:pray Were hoping all turns out well for Sheba over here... I hate that everything is so expensive in CA, but you cant really but a price on our pets or peace of mind so everyone pays it. Keep us updated and once again were hoping for the best.

Re: Stupid question about dog clothing

I think it just depends on your dog whether he needs a sweater or not. Different dogs can tolerate different temperatures just like people. I'm sure you know your dogs behavior and if he's acting cold, go ahead and get him a sweater. I live in So Cal which really never gets 'cold' but my dog is alwa...

Re: She gets it!

Those videos totally show how big she has grown. And Paige, your close enough that if i ever find out where you live, you might end up with a 75lb ...
