Re: Christmas present ideas??

We put peanut butter in our kong and it doesnt get messy... usually he gets everything out, but we just rinse it after hes done anyways. Are they chewers? Nylabones are awesome. Or Tug a Jugs are good to keep them entertained for a while, heres a link http://www.amazon.com/Premier-Busy-Buddy-Medium-...

Oh man, were keeping you in our thoughts over here. :pray

I would get a second opinion, for the sake of your dog and also there is no way I could wait 6 months to find out, that would drive me insane!

Re: Can raw diet cause dog drink excessively?

This is what we feed our dog (well not the chicken formula, but all others) and he has never had problems. We actually just started him on the rotation diet they recommend which includes feeding him the kibble they offer and I have noticed when he eats that he does drink more. So like pblove said, s...

Re: T.V. watching, who's dogs dig 2D dogs?

Gus watches TV alll the time! If theres a dog on tv he runs up to the tv and pushes his nose to it, then gets confused that he cant see it anymore. A couple times he has even went outside to look in the yard behind where the tv is, thinking maybe the TV was a window and they are actually in our yard.

Re: Paw Print Ornament

Love this idea! Model Magic is so fun, i made a ton of ornaments for my bf's first Xmas tree ( I was broke and happened to have it lying around) Also with the model magic if you dont like the pawprint you can just ball up the dough and roll it out and try again! Plus it comes in multiple colors or y...

Re: Pet Insurance

Does anyone know if your dog has had previous injuries does it make it harder to get approved for insurance or the premiums higher? For example, Gus has had exploratory surgery for an intestinal blockage, would this affect him getting insured or rates?

Re: Need some suggestions on door bolting

In my opinion it makes a big difference ( it might just be the dog also) but for a while we were letting Gus get away with things and I could see him getting a bit more unruly. So we cracked down - sit for all doors being opened, sit and wait to be told up before going on couches, he even has to wai...

Re: Need some suggestions on door bolting

Does Ruby have to sit and wait to be released when going through doors/ gates?? As part of Gus's NILIF everytime he goes through a door (or anything we have to open for him) he has to sit and wait for us to say "okay" to be able to go. It has become second nature for him, so now whenever h...

Re: What is your exercise schedule for your dog(s) each day?

We got lucky that Gus is pretty lazy, maybe lazy isnt the word since he is completely happy to be out running around all day too. But i guess he is content with lounging. His routine was a short jog/walk around the neighborhood at night, and either a 30 min walk at night, plus some intense fetch in ...

Re: Toy suggestions

I love finding good deals... not sure if you have a petco near you, but i feel like they always have a better variety of clearance toys. When i come in the employees ask if im there to clear out the clearance section again lol And when you only spend $2 on a toy, you can get a good variety and see w...

Re: Toy suggestions

They have these cloth toys (like a stuffy but with no stuffing) you can put water bottles in, so you get the crackling fun of playing with the bottle, but not actual teeth on plastic. Seems like it might be good for your 2. ( Gus on the other hand has learned how to undo the velcro that holds the bo...

Re: Winter coats

I've gotten dog jackets and doggy backpacks from PPE Pet Supplies, http://partipoodlepetsupplies.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The prices on many of their items were quite attractive. Just ordered a jacket from here - $25 bucks, awesomely made, fleece lined with that silver li...
