Re: Shedding! </3

Mambo sheds like a thousand big hairy dogs. I brushed him out today, got a regular grocery bag full of his hair, and this evening he already had tufts of shed sticking off of his butt at odd angles. Some of them just shed a ton. I use the Furminator on the girls about once a week and that's all they...

Re: My Am Bulldog Exploded!! Help!

Chino's weight loss is just crawling along. We've switched her diet around, white meat Chicken is all she's getting on raw days as per the vet's suggestion, changed the kibble portion to a diet dog food, cookies have been replaced with extra kibbles. We're going to the dog park at least three times ...

Re: What Supplements do you use?

We do fish oil for everybody. Chino's going to be starting some joint supplements when I get paid next week to help with her wrist issues she's been having due to being a little lard dog.

Science Diet's new product

http://www.hillspet.com/weight-management/home.html I got a coupon in the mail for this today. 10 dollars off which tells me it's ridiculously expensive. I really hate to think how many people are going to buy this "innovative new product" lol Innovation means using a smaller measuring cu...

Re: Has anyone tried this brand of dog food?

xD Maybe I'll get some to help me leash train Koi? On another note I will not be buying that food at all. 14 dollars for a 9 pound bag? really? Yeah thats out of my budget and I was looking on dog food feedback sites and its not very good quality either. So I'm going to look into the other foods li...

Re: Another one for the RAW experts!

My guys adore turkey day lol we buy a whole turkey once a month and I'll cut it up for them. It's so much cheaper to buy the whole bird and cut it up than it is to buy chunks. Of course Turkey is one of those special dinners around here so it's more economical to buy one bird at a time, if you'll fe...

Dog aggression Progress Brag

I'm sure it's not going to be much to most of you but I'm ridiculously proud of Loki today. Friday when I took Loki to the vet I brought Mambo inside first so I could crate him, I had to wire the gate to the back yard shut so I have to bring them through the house to go any place. I allowed Loki som...

Re: crab grass

I haven't whacked down the sprouts coming up from the roots of the two big Japanese elms in my front yard yet this summer and Stormy is obsessed with nibbling them, every time I let her out I end up having to get after her lol the neighbors must think I'm nuts standing on my porch in the middle of t...

Re: Non Specific Environmental allergies?

Thanks for all of the info on the yeast guys. I'm not entirely sure which condition we're facing, some of the photographs out there seem to be similar to Loki's rash but they aren't quite the same. I went and bought some organic or holistic or whatever it is oatmeal shampoo from the health food stor...

the good news is allergies can not be resoloved but yeast overgrowth can

If this course of treatment doesn't do the trick we'll ask the vet about yeast :) Thanks :)

Re: Cow hooves for dogs

Kinda unrelated but our dogs used to go absolutely bonkers when the farrier came to trim and shoe the horses. I'm not sure why but they always thought the little slabs of horse hoof were the greatest thing since sliced bread, we'd have to keep them away from the barn until the farrier was done so th...

Re: Another one for the RAW experts!

We're Slippery Elm users, it's also great for external irritations, think rash, dry skin, bug bites. You just drop some in hot water and let it jell up and spread it on. I learned the hard way about organ meats. I found beef kidneys and liver on sale and bought some for each dog, didn't think about ...

Re: Non Specific Environmental allergies?

Thx for the good wishes :) We're on day three of meds, the swelling seems to have gone down some but not entirely. I'll be going to the store in about half an hour to try and find some good shampoo for her, probably take her with since they're never busy sunday mornings.
