Re: Animal Behavior College?

Does CASI have payment plans for tuition? Most of their billing is done through paypal, which does offer payment plan options. If you have any specific questions about the courses, James and the other professors are all very helpful and approachable. James is super nice! And extremely knowledgeable...

Re: Crate agression with new puppy foster

I would move them or cover them so they can't see each other. I block off our crates because of resource guarding, my girl is fine as long as she can't see our other dog. But if noises also set off your dog then I would recommend moving one to a different room.

It's never a bad idea to consult a behaviorist, how old is she now? The teenage stage can be brutal.

Lol no worries, I just ordered my first two, I've heard nothing but good things about them. I plan on using them for meals. We got one puzzle a few weeks ago and the dogs love it! There are videos on the website, but if you look for kyjen puzzles you can order them for about ten bucks to see if your...

Re: help with pulling dog

I think most people say positive reinforcement etc as a way of saying they don't use aversives, it's just semantics.

Re: help with pulling dog

It isn't your fault, some dogs are prone to anxiety and it isn't necessarily due to their past, it could well be genetic. The fact that you recognize it and are taking steps to help her makes you a good owner!

Re: help with pulling dog

Of course there are dogs who aren't negatively affected by prongs, but the percentage of dogs who could be is a lot higher then with some other training methods, why take the risk? Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk 2 Because if judged correctly it is effective and it can make the dog much happier...

Re: Dog biting feet. HELP!!!!!

Wash her feet everytime she comes inside, I recommend a mix of water and apple cider vinegar. When bries feet get bad I do a soak, I dunk her feet into the mix,.Pat dry to get drips then let them air dry. Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk 2 Thank you, I will definitely try this.
