Re: Yucky swollen toe

Vet saw her toe today and says it is still healing. It's not red or even pink, it's toe color. It IS still swollen some some esp around the nail base but less than before. He said it would keep healing but it would take a long time.

She got her stitch out today. It looks completely healed. Vet said she's good to go and to just keep a look out for any more weird places.

Re: Weird leg bump popped and came back

It kinda looks like the ganglion cyst I used to get on my wrist. I fell and landed on it and it popped (painful!) and then came right back. I don't know if dogs get them tho.

Was your dog always in Texas?

Re: Yucky swollen toe

TY! Peanut's toe wasn't as swollen as Sneaky's was and seems to be responding somewhat to treatment... but I will ask!

Ilovethepits wrote:hmmm. I know someone mentioned that Sneaky (one of Red's dogs) had a toe like that and it turned out to be fungus (IIRC). Maybe you could just suggest that to the vet if the xray doesn't turn up a reason?

TY for the suggestion! He kinda mentioned it in passing but I forgot about that.

It IS getting better but really slowly. She is due to get her stitch out on Monday (altho it will most likely be Tuesda...

Re: My dog is destroying my apartment

Our Peanut is 5 years old and she is in her crate every night for about 9-10 hours. I'm home all day so she only gets crated during the day when I go somewhere. It did take her a week or so to get used to the crate - we had no idea what we were doing really so we'd toss treats in and when she went i...

Her toe is still swollen but not as much as before. The knuckle looks normal now but the end is still swollen.

Re: It never rains but it pours ...

I'm glad Bailey hasnt had it reoccur! But I'd be uneasy about that skin tag, just because I worry about everything!!!! I know the 'wah wah' feeling I was like that last week when we brought her in for her toe and mentioned to him 'by the way can you look at this weird scab'? And he goes 'We need to ...
