Re: "Tomorrow" needs a home today

Don't want to jinx it but since the new home (Alex) has already solidified the exact time he's picking her up tomorrow, I think it's safe to say that Tomorrow has a new home! :peace: Thanks so much Kingsgurl for recommending such a great home. I do think it's going to be a great match and he's got s...

Re: "Tomorrow" needs a home today

That would be great, she really is quite an adaptable and adoptable dog. Her current foster home was working quite hard to keep her, but the landlord finally put his foot down and, in the meantime, the other prospects vanished (or, in the case of one, impulse-acquired another puppy). She really dese...

Re: "Tomorrow" needs a home today

Update, none of Tomorrow's prospects panned out, so she's still looking. She's now 5 months old but hasn't grown much and her manners are getting better by the day. She will be an awesome dog for the right person!

^^^ this. It's better to err on the side of caution. I've gone against my gut before and guess what... my gut was right lol Save yourself the headache/heartache and keep the animal safe.

Re: "Tomorrow" needs a home today

Update: Tomorrow has a meet and greet this upcoming Tuesday! It's a great home and looks promising, but if for some reason it doesn't work out there are two more homes in line that also look pretty darn good. For a while she had no good prospects, then all three came at once and they all seem great ...

"Tomorrow" needs a home today

We've got ourselves a foster project. She's pretty awesome and will make a great dog for somebody. Her only glaring issue is that she's in an awkward growth stage and she's currently got a pinhead and her back end is taller than her front. She also likes to give kisses so will have to learn to wait ...

Re: When to say When

So really what I need for this dog is a pair of dog savvy lesbians with no farm animals or cats that live on some land in the country that want to have this dog. Well, there are *tons* of homes like this, it should be no problem to find one lol In all seriousness, I have nothing constructive to add...

Re: Tick control for hairless dog?

Sentinal works, but fleas also can't really hitch on hairless things so prevention isn't a huge issue. Pretty easy to do a visual for ticks after a hike. With the topical stuff it needs hairs and the oils on the hairs to transfer properly (which is also why you shouldn't apply those things directly ...

Re: Tick control for hairless dog?

Topical treatments do not work correctly on hairless animals, have him switch to an orally given medication. I know this from first-hand experience ;)

Re: is this MANGE?!

What kind of food is he eating? This would have been my first course of action. After dealing with allergy and mild demodectic mange issues for *years* with Paco, I switched to a raw diet and his skin issues disappeared. Before we did a diet switch, he was on the prednisone cycle and would just rel...

RIP, sweet girl. It's hardly a consolation, but know that you were able to give her a life she never would have known otherwise. My heart goes out to you.
