Custom Leather martingales

Just a quick announcement to let you know that we are now making martingale collars with custom made Herm Sprenger chain. The D rings and chain are heavier than most martingales you can get on the market, that's why we worked with them and designed for 6 months to get it right. Any of our designs ca...

Here's a picture of Tomorrow and her new family. They are head over heels for her, as are we for them!

Re: "Tomorrow" needs a home today

Don't want to jinx it but since the new home (Alex) has already solidified the exact time he's picking her up tomorrow, I think it's safe to say that Tomorrow has a new home! :peace: Thanks so much Kingsgurl for recommending such a great home. I do think it's going to be a great match and he's got s...

Re: Anyone go camping with their dogs?

:( Poor dog! Yeah, when camping we really don't go anywhere the dogs can't go. Exactly. In a lot of places it's against the rules to leave dogs unattended so I wouldn't plan on going anywhere or doing anything that would require the dogs stay behind. We're going camping next weekend and originally ...

Re: "Tomorrow" needs a home today

That would be great, she really is quite an adaptable and adoptable dog. Her current foster home was working quite hard to keep her, but the landlord finally put his foot down and, in the meantime, the other prospects vanished (or, in the case of one, impulse-acquired another puppy). She really dese...

Re: "Tomorrow" needs a home today

Update, none of Tomorrow's prospects panned out, so she's still looking. She's now 5 months old but hasn't grown much and her manners are getting better by the day. She will be an awesome dog for the right person!

Re: Nosy Booker Update!

Super good work, Booker! (and to the person on the other end of the leash). NW1 is a pretty big accomplishment. There's a local nosework instructor here who just took her fourth shot at it and *still* hasn't passed. Last trial I met a bull terrier and her handler that were on try #8. The fact that B...

Re: Anyone go camping with their dogs?

Yep, we camp with the dogs all the time. In addition to that fairly complete list above, we'll usually bring a portable crate as well and sometimes clothes if you're going someplace that gets really cold at night (we tend to go to the desert a lot).

Have fun! Camping with dogs is the best.

Re: Best Treats to Train/Distract?

Another thing you can do to build food drive, along with all the previous suggestions, is to skip a meal before your walk. My latest foster was the same way as your boy so I actually stopped feeding her meals altogether and would *only* feed when out on walks. She quickly overcame her "pickines...

Re: The Thundershirt

I think it totally depends. Seemed to have almost no effect on Huckleberry, but worked pretty well for my friend's SA dog (not when she left, but seemed to calm her down and make her less anxious in general). I used one on Ayse who doesn't have much anxiety but does get overstimulated and it worked ...

^^^ this. It's better to err on the side of caution. I've gone against my gut before and guess what... my gut was right lol Save yourself the headache/heartache and keep the animal safe.

Re: "Tomorrow" needs a home today

Update: Tomorrow has a meet and greet this upcoming Tuesday! It's a great home and looks promising, but if for some reason it doesn't work out there are two more homes in line that also look pretty darn good. For a while she had no good prospects, then all three came at once and they all seem great ...

Re: Backpacks-Yes its that time of year

Hmm.. One question... A backpack probably wouldn't be a good idea for a dog with a roached back, right? http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb241/PitbullkaBrina/IMG_5909.jpg I was thinking of buying one for Jaka since it's quite hard to tire him out, because he has to ALWAYS be on a leash, but i don...
