Yes, microchips can migrate. My cat's chip has migrated to her upper shoulder, but it is still scanable and shows up accurately. I don't think it would necessarily have to be redone unless it migrated too far, to where someone might not scan.

Boss does the under-the-breath soft cry when I am at my computer working on something for long periods of time (like a paper or doing research) and I am forced to ignore him. With him it's a boredom thing. Mental exercises work great, even just a few minutes of obedience or agility work calms him do...

You have to email most companies to find out the ash content. I emailed TOTW and their ash content is: 9.5% for both the High Prairie and Wetlands formulas and 8.5% for the Pacific Stream. EVO lists everything on their website and theirs is around 11.1% for poultry formula and only 8.7% for the red...

Hate the stuff... its to rich, too high in calcium and ash. There are much better "grain free" options available that have perfected what EVO started. Just a question. You say "too high in calcium AND ash" but I thought "ash" was a term used to describe the mineral con...

If you switch too fast the gas is terrible and diarrhea is also possible. I spent 3 weeks switching my terriers over to EVO, because my bf had been feeding them Royal Canin before I intervened. What food were your dogs on before? I, like akaspaddero, feed the chicken formula. I used to change flavor...

When I switched my dogs over to EVO they had really bad farts but over time they got less frequent. Now it's just the occasional room clearing toxic gas. My smaller dogs prefer to eat later in the day and seem not to be hungry early in the morning. I guess it's just their preference, they've always ...

As soon as it got cold and dry Boss started to get flaky skin, like dandruff all over his body and he's black so it showed very well. eww. I started him on fish oil and started noticing a big difference in about a week and after 2 weeks, not a flake in sight.

3 dogs and 1 cat, FAR less than $40 per week on kibble. Now if I included treats and chews, etc. it would be higher. For the dogs I buy a 28.6 lb bag of EVO at $45 which lasts them about 4 weeks on average. I have one APBT and two smaller dogs. He eats 2 cups per day, and between the two of them, th...

I've never used it before but I know there is stuff you can put in your dog's food to make their poop taste bad. It won't help with all the delicious stray animal poop, but it'll at least deter him from his own. When I added fish oil to my dogs' diets all of the sudden their poop started tasting fab...

My dogs are on EVO and doing great. Only problem with increasing their protein so much from what they are used to is... gas. Noxious, toxic, room-clearing gas. :fart: Once they adjusted to it the gas got better. Just... be prepared. lol

How old is Rocky? Could be arthritis. Cold and high humidity can aggravate it. My arthritis is well controlled but when it is cold and wet it's harder to walk it off and I limp a bit. Similar situation for dogs maybe.

Wow, what a pretty boy! You can def see the mix.

I wonder if he was mixed with a Weimaraner to get the "blue" coloring? I know some BYBs that try that to pass them off as blue pit puppies, b/c you don't always see the mix until they are older.

What Orijen flavor are you feeding? I know the 6 Fresh Fish formula is made with... well fish, duh, and has a fairly good concentration of Omega 3 and 6s already. Adding Salmon oil may be too much if that is the case. If it is the other formulas maybe you are just adding to much salmon oil? How much...
