roflmao That reminds me of an adopter who once said he played dead only to discover his dog didn't care at all. So he said his heart actually hurt. Here is to hoping your dog cares about you ! And I agree, exercise helps too! lol Luckily he did get upset when I "died" due to the unwanted ...

This might sound weird but this is what worked for me. When Ziggy used to do bad behaviors to get attention from me, simple ignoring didn't work, and he would get feverishly obsessed with getting me to turn around and end up breaking something. So when he'd whine I'd "die". OK, I know it s...

Aww, don't worry about the stink eye. She'll get over it. This will be a good bonding experience. I thrived on it when I had to do it with my JRT a few months back. When Steve was deployed, Ziggy developed all kinds of "I'm the man of the house now" issues which were very unacceptable and ...

If it's just one spot it's probably not any kind of generalized allergy then, just figured I'd ask though b/c it took my parents forever to narrow down the source of their poor Lab's allergy.

Is it just that one area or other places too? Does she itch a lot or have any skin problems? I ask because my parents' Labrador, who has had lifelong skin irritation problems, licks and gnaws her skin all the time, including her feet, and after some vet consults recently it was finally confirmed tha...

What do you guys think of these? My dogs are really suspicious of anything in capsule form so something like this that I can mix straight in sounds good. Boss especially needs something to keep his winter body dandruff at bay.

How old is Millie? Most people suggest not doing any hard exercise, running, etc. that is high impact for dogs under 1 yr old b/c they are still growing and developing joints. Also, many APBTs and dogs in general are pretty stoic and don't always show pain (of course try to tell that to my boy Boss ...

Ok, a few more questions for the forum. I was reading that different types of fish oils have different concentrations and qualities of EPA and DHA. Some say salmon oil is not as good as sardine or anchovy. Some fish oil product just have several miscellaneous fishes in the product, others use one sp...

Has anyone tried Omega 3 enriched eggs? I have been buying them at the store that have 400mg per egg due to the hen's diets. I bet the dogs would :inlove: one of those over their kibble every once in a while.

:po: No one has been attacked... but they've received "complaints"? More like they are passing some ridiculous BS knee-jerk legislation and ignoring any real issues the city may have.

Something else I've used successfully is Probiocin... it actually has a wider spectrum of active bacteria. Its just in a paste style tube which is harder for most people to give and it looks like horse medicine so we don't get the same positive reception with it that we get from Fortiflora. Marketi...

Fortiflora seems cheap to me, its 15 dollars a month... I sell it all the time. Can you get it from 1800petmeds or anything like that? Wow, my vet charges more than DOUBLE that, over $30 plus tax for a one month supply, though that seems to be this particular vet's MO. Plus the vet refuses to appro...

Probiotics- Brands and Long term use?

My boy has a very sensitive stomach. He has been to the vet, no worms, fecals all looked good, but he gets diarrhea daily when not on probiotics. Right now I have him on 1g of FortiFlora per day and that has done wonders for him. However, when he goes off of it, the stomach problems start to come ba...
