Lumps on Honey

Got back from the vet a bit ago and I must say he was amused and relieved at my utter panic about this lump. It's only a cyst thank god, so I can stop worrying for a bit lol. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes! Honey got a Wendy's cheeseburger and some cow hooves. She thinks she won the lottery....

Lumps on Honey

I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes. She may be going on Thursday instead. The vet tech that personally knows Honey will be there. Shes a friend of the family. This little red beast is pretty anxiety ridden, so I try to make the vet as familiar to her as possible. Helps a lot when Destiny ...

Lumps on Honey

Yeah I've never seen a lump that shape. It's so weird and so close to her spine. I do NOT like the look of it.

Thanks for the well wishes. I wish I could bring her in earlier than Tuesday but that's my very next day off. Until then, I'll be pulling my hair out lol.

Lumps on Honey

I don't really post here very often and I rarely post about my own dogs. Not for any real reason. I suppose. However, about a week or so ago, I noticed a lump on Honey's back. Didn't think much of it at the time. I'm not the kind of person who runs my dogs to the vet for every little issue. Ive got ...

Urinary incontinence? and. How to keep a diaper on a dog?

Hope everything goes alright at the vet! Honey had to wear a homemade diaper type deal during her first heat. I originally bought doggy diapers but it was expensive as hell to keep buying them. So I ended up going to wal mart, buying a cheap pack of granny panties and super absorbent pads. I cut a h...

Oh no!

I hope everything comes out okay. The wonky little beast is one of my favorites.

Immune system supplements?

I give both my girls a probiotic powder with every meal. They also get Pet Kelp in the antioxidant formula. I really love the Pet Kelp since there are no added chemicals or anything that you would find with pills. Specifically the plastic type casing most pills come in now. It's literally kelp (whic...

Re: Good Lord, anything else at this time?

I will donate next Friday for pay day. I have also asked for my secret santa to NOT send my dogs anything. I asked for whatever money they were going to spend on my dogs to be sent to Val. She deserves it so much more. If my dogs are a few stuffies short on Christmas and it means another rescue dog ...

Re: Grain free kibble without potatoes?

I have my pups on California Natural Chicken and Rice, I must say I love it. It's pretty limited ingredient. Only one protein source for the most. It's pretty bland, so making a switch from say TOTW over to California Natural is a bit difficult lol. I haven't tried the grain free but have been think...

Miley, young, SUPER sweet, DA, needs a home, Lebanon PA

She is really awesome. I think the next step is seeing if the rescue we got luigi through will put a curtousy post on pet finder for her. Yesterday her current foster mom had her evaluated by a local behaviorist who helps evaluate shelter dogs in Lancaster. she did great, 0 resource guarding, great...

Re: Compassion Fatigue

awww It sounds like your getting overwhelmed just by everything in general! Do you do a lot of events and things out in the public eye? Maybe travel to another county and do some events to get your rescue's name out there in a different area .. Every rescue is hurting right now. Even the all breed ...

Re: Compassion Fatigue

I read this thread A LOT. Like a ridiculous amount. But I run a rescue and work in a dog daycare facility, so it fits in. I've just been feeling....blah...lately. Like I really don't care. It takes me a couple of days to get back to fosters and I rarely call back the 20-30 people calling me each DAY...

Paola....

She should make it through fine, given she doesn't come down with distemper. And I don't know what it is about her name, I just don't like. And after visiting her and seeing her personality, it doesn't fit. I hear Paola and think of a fiery dog that has attitude for days. She isn't like that. I woul...

We're taking her but need donations to give her all the vetting she desperately needs! The mange treatment and boarding alone comes out to just over $500. That's not including her pull fee, spaying and whatever other medical issues she may have! Please if you can spare $5, do it for Paola! http://te...
