Re: Ear infection

If I didn't have one already, I was buy yours just to help out Maili. Have you tried to apply for CareCredit? It never hurts to just try. Even if you only get a $100 credit, that should either take care of the treatment or make a decent deposit. Have you called friends or family? Explained to them a...

Re: Ear infection

That is the same reason that I swore off banks. I seriously just carry around cash and if I need a credit card for anything, I get a visa prepaid one or put money on a reloadable one I have. It's just easier that way. But yeah, sudden vet issues suuuuck. Especially if you don't have the cash. Is the...

Re: Epilepsy

Just got back from the other vet and it's good news! Honey does NOT have epilepsy. The second vet was actually quite ticked off that the e-vet didn't do bloodwork or anything. The second doctor did a physical on Honey and ran some bloodwork (we won't have the results back for a few days. I opted to ...

Re: Epilepsy

Thanks everyone for the words of wisdom and help! I did a lot of reading last night about epilepsy and it doesn't seem to fit what happened. She had no erratic eye movement, no disorientation and she didn't pass out. Soooooo, we are heading to another vet today for a checkup, bloodwork and a second ...

Epilepsy

So...It's been an emotional day for me. It started a few hours with Honey having what I can only describe as a Parkinson's like shake that was focused on her head. It wasn't erratic but a calm, head tilting almost. The first time it happened, I assumed maybe she had something in her ear and was tryi...

Re: My baby is pregnant..need advise!!! and tips

The dog he's breeding isn't the four month old pup. Google does wonders. And what would you suggest I google? They posted on this site, so I asked questions on this site. Jumping in here and snarking at the O.P. and other posters isn't going to help anyone. You need to be able to post informatively...

Re: My baby is pregnant..need advise!!! and tips

The dog he's breeding isn't the four month old pup. Google does wonders. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, that does not make this situation any better. I noticed that you had not answered the questions that I asked in your introduction thread. I'm not totally surprised to be honest. I'm just...Ugh. Should've ha...

Re: INTRODUCING BEACONWOODZ KENNEL

A) Advertising your 'kennel' on this board is forbidden. I really hope you haven't bred the bitch yet. As a matter of fact, I hope you never breed her. Get her spayed. Just because she may come from good lines, doesn't mean she is breeding quality. Also, I'm quite interested in knowing what show tit...

Re: Would anyone like to share their experience how wonderful it

The history of something is always a good place to start. I'm sure numerous members and I wouldn't mind detailing our experience with the breed but reading their history is a must. You have to know where these dogs came from to know where these dogs are going. Also, reading up on their history may h...

Re: Flirt Pole...

I use one of Honey's favorite stuffed animals. She's not big on raw hides. Though she loves some cow hooves filled with peanut butter or dried jerky. But anyways, I went by the instructions on how to make a flirt pole that the lovely Amie directed me too. The knot that is shown allows you to remove ...

Re: Jacksonville, FL - any concerns?

Currently, Florida is a state where BSL is illegal. Unfortunately, Miami happened before that law was made. Though it isn't always an immediate concern, it is still an issue. A bill stating that cities should be able to place BSL if they want has been placed before the court twice. Both times it was...

Re: Collar Question

I actually have a two inch wide, spiked collar for Honey. Personally, I like the look of the spiked collars but understand the distaste others have for them. However, Honey's collar is rather tasteful. The leather is a nice, hot pink and the spikes are only about half an inch long and dull to the to...

Flirtpole

So, I've decided to go ahead and try Honey with the flirtpole. She likes jumping up to get toys and chasing them on the ground, so a flirt pole makes sense. However, I'm hesitant to purchase one online because I'm paranoid about buying online lol. Does anyone know a secure, trustworthy website I cou...
