Re: Slipped Disc

Thanks! I have joined a list which mostly has owners of doxies with disc disease, but they are a wealth of info. And I am keeping Roc on a strict rest! I am also going to take Roc's past bloodwork into my vet to see if we can start him on some anti-inflammatories.

Slipped Disc

Roc has been lame in his back left leg for a few weeks now and also just a tad too wobbly for my liking in his back end all together. I took him to work with me today to have one of the vets check him out and see what she thought. She did a thorough physical and neurological exam on him as well as g...

Re: So...I'm freaking out....again

I am dealing with a similar issue with Roc right now and am concerned that it may be a torn ACL as well. He has been favoring his left hind leg for a few weeks now. At first it was on and off, but now it is pretty much all of the time. He will let me do whatever I want to the leg and does not act pa...

What's my Tagline?

I won a gift certificate from Fetching Tags in one of their recent contests and want to get my first Fetching Tag! I need help coming up with a tagline as I really lack creativity in this area. I have decided Roc will be the 1st recipient of FT as he is the oldest, so please help me come up with a t...

Re: Title collectors, your dog's FULL name?

Roc has an AKC PAL # and his full name is... Roc Steady CGC http://pic80.picturetrail.com:80/VOL1986/10791790/22897539/390108533.jpg His claim to fame is his CGC. He has dabbled in SplashDogs, but never actually fully jumped. And he has watched weight pull - he thought it was quite interesting. But ...

Re: Cancer Treatment Experiences

So sorry to hear about Caesar.... that completely sucks. I do agree that if amputation is an option to definitely consider it as I have known people have had more time/good results with it in the past. As far as chemo, my dog Rain had chemo for MCT this year and the treatment was very easy on her. S...

Re: Crypton Collars from Collarmania

Thanks! Definitely think I will go with the 1.5" for Roc since that is what I am used to him wearing and it looks good on him. I am also going to get a fabric overlay collar for Rain, but not sure whether to go 1.5" or 2" - her neck can definitely handle the 2" collars as she has...

Re: Leather Safety Slip

Starrlamia - I know you didn't ask me, but for the longest time Trip had horrible allergies on his neck and chest and I could not figure out how to get rid of them. Nothing worked. Then one of my dog friends suggested (this was years ago) that I try a leather collar on him as he had always worn nylo...
