Re: MEET ANNIE! Sula Foundation Adoptable

the petshop photo made me laugh. her face is very young she looks like an eternal puppy. the first pic is heartbreaking she looks so sad She does have a pretty young looking face when you see her in person. Annie's so freaking adorable. She's actually quite petite too, maybe about 40-45 lbs. She ha...

Re: MEET LUNA! Sula Foundation Adoptable

I know.

We were all so excited because we though she was going home, and then the resident dog decided against the new addition.

We have an adoption event this Saturday, so hopefully we'll get some interest in her.

MEET ANNIE! Sula Foundation Adoptable

I'm pulling this from our website so you guys can meet this great girl and hear her story: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d125/kmcmrtk6/LA22014876366-2-x.jpg "This is Annie. We're not sure how old she is, but we do know that she's spent her life being bred to supply a dogfighter with fresh p...

Re: MEET LUNA! Sula Foundation Adoptable

Big bump for Luna! I can't believe we still have her. She's always a hit at events, but no one puts in applications for her. Well, she almost found a home last month, but the family's resident dog didn't like her. Come visit New Orleans for the holidays and meet Luna. You know you want t...

Re: Going to be fostering a pregnet APBT Help!

and also... my girl Xena who was terribly overbred had FOURTEEN LIVE BIRTHS her last litter. Imagine, 14 puppies??? I was told by the rescue that my boy Saint came from a 14 pup litter too. Very much a possibility. If the pups are born, please make sure they are spayed or neutered before being adop...

Re: Natural Balance food

I had a very tough time finding a food that worked for Saint and it ended up being NB sweet potato and fish. Saint eats 3 cups a day and looks great. He gets complements on his appearance and shiny coat all the time. A great trainer in the city, who I took a puppy class, with has had the same attitu...

Re: Can't figure out runny poop issues...HELP!

When Saint was young he was runny for a while until I could find the right food for him. It ended up being DVP Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish formula. Cleared the runs right up! Also, I saw that you give you pup table scraps sometimes, that could be a big part of your problem. If Saint finds ...

Re: Is this a healthy weight?

I can't tell with the little girl, it's easier to see with a photo of them standing up from the side.

The boy does look overweight.

I agree with Misskiwi, get a measuring cut and start monitoring exactly how much they each eat. Looks like the boy could use a little cut back.

Re: Has anyone used NU-STOCK for Mange?

the vet will give you the oral ivermectin. i know some folks get it at tractor supply too BUT it has to be a certain kind.. you cant treat it until you know whether its demodex or sarcoptic mange so a vet visit is definitely needed Yep, definitely get that vet appointment. You have to be sure you k...

Re: Inclement weather

I say it depends on how your dog takes it. If your dog is miserable when caught in the rain, I'd say hold off on the walk 'till it clears up a bit. Let him go potty in the yard and take him in for extra play time inside. Play tug, run around the house, etc. so he still get a little exercise. Some pe...

Re: Button has demodex

How are Button and Ruby doing? Y'all both went the neem oil route, right? I've noticed that Saint started scratching his neck more than usual. At first I thought he was just picking up fleas or something from the yard, but no. It looks like he's fairing up with a little demodex again. (He had a few ...

Re: MANGE!

Ok thanks you guys so much. I gave it to him tonight. It is indeed the 1% solution, i mixed it with some nice breyers vanilla ice cream. :)) I have a syringe that the vet gave me from the first case of demodex and it even has .1 increments so its perfect for this i just scooped a small scoop and sq...

Nope not on Saint's feet.

My parents' huskies' toe fuzz needs the occasional trimming though. lol
