Re: New Dog owner! Rescue!

Welcome! Thank you for saving Axle and giving him a home - it sure is funny how fate works sometimes, isn't it?

BTW: Best I know, you'll be able to post elsewhere, once Admin has reviewed/approved your intro.

If I am the volunteer, you'd have to threaten me with bodily harm, before I'd turn over the dog ...

Were the police called?

Re: What do you feed your dog?

"THe Honest Kitchen" here (dehydrated raw).

Trusty gets 'Zeal', fish based (beef or things with feathers seem to create itchiness).

Espe gets 'Verve'.

Both get TOTW 'Pacific Stream' mixed in most days.

Re: Haileys Got Bumps.. too.

I'd keep an eye on it. If the bumps/lesion do not decrease/appear to be healing, I'd head to the vet in the next 24-48 hours. Since you cannot be sure that it is anything that could be helped by administering an antihistamine, I'd hold off on that too (plus, you said that she is not itchy). If you e...

Re: Honey Bun and Puppies - CA

Thank you to you and your husband for helping Honey Bun and her puppies.

In addition to the Chipin, have you considered asking Pit Bull Rescue for help as well (at least for the future cost of the spays/neuters for Mom and pups)?

Re: Freaking out

I hate these types of issues, and the fact that our dogs cannot talk to us roflmao However, if I were in your shoes, I would have any growth that does not 'dissipate' biopsied (needle aspiration, if possible). Since you like V.'s dermatologist, perhaps she could recommend a vet, so that you don't en...

Re: Whole earth farms canned food

It was very frightening (and reported to the FDA); Trusty has always been a very slender dog, and the rapid weight loss that came with the disease was terrifying. After a few days of an array of orals and daily sub-c fluids, he slowly resumed eating, that is, I literally spoon fed him. Quite frankly...
