Re: Wellness Simple Solutions Vs Natural Balance

Off the top of my head, I would check into Natural Balance and see if any of their limited ingredient foods have senior versions ... just a thought.

Re: Wellness Simple Solutions Vs Natural Balance

You are right - my mistake  I just checked the Zeal box, duh.

It is a great food, and Trusty does very well on it.

Now for Cherry: would it make sense to look into 'Senior' formulas for her? These tend to be lower on the protein scale?

Re: Wellness Simple Solutions Vs Natural Balance

High protein is also concern for our Trusty - he had acute pancreatitis in 2009, and we were told to stay on both lower fat and protein foods for him. Plus, he is allergic to a number of things. He does not tolerate anything 'feathered' well (major itchies) and after 1 1/2 years of prescription dog ...

Re: Found a new training treat

Forgot - there are also 'Fruitables' - fun, small, dry to the touch treats that smell wonderful and send our two 'fruity' dogs into a frenzy 8)

Re: Found a new training treat

Thank you for sharing that - I am always looking for small, clean treats that do not smell offensive to my nose, and are not greasy ...

Have you tried 'Charlee Bears'? Small, dry and only 3 calories each? They are a longtime favorite of mine.

Re: Please think of her

As so well said by another member before - words, no matter what we say - are cliches.

Just know that we are there with you and Tigger, as she begins her final journey. She is and will be eternally loved.

Gentle hugs to you and Tigger.

I am so sorry, Val. If you need to talk, please call (PM with my # sent). If you would like someone there with you who has been through this all too recently, I'll be there ...

Still hoping for a miracle.

Re: please help! 6 month old female and cats!

The number 1 rule is to never, ever leave the cats and the dog alone together - even when you have reached the point of where the two ignore each other. Since you are dealing with a dog new to your home and the dog is also a pup, it's time to train 'Leave It', so that the pup understands that the ca...
