Re: First anal gland problem 9yrs old..help?

When our Madeleine got older (at about 8 years of age), her anal glands became an issue as well, with one bad impact that required veterinary attention, including a course of Clavamox. As that time, the vet most helpfully offered to show me how to do an anal gland express myself, but that was too mu...

Re: Helping a Friend Rehome...

If she is spayed, I would try to list her on Pit Bull Rescue Central (I think the link is PBRC.net or .org). Note that your friend will have to be able to document that she is spayed. Other than that, I would approach area rescues and request a courtesy listing, and the opportunity to show her at ad...

Re: Wellness Simple Solutions Vs Natural Balance

Re: Wellness Simple Solutions Vs Natural Balance

You are right - my mistake  I just checked the Zeal box, duh.

It is a great food, and Trusty does very well on it.

Now for Cherry: would it make sense to look into 'Senior' formulas for her? These tend to be lower on the protein scale?

Re: Wellness Simple Solutions Vs Natural Balance

High protein is also concern for our Trusty - he had acute pancreatitis in 2009, and we were told to stay on both lower fat and protein foods for him. Plus, he is allergic to a number of things. He does not tolerate anything 'feathered' well (major itchies) and after 1 1/2 years of prescription dog ...

Here is a link to the glass urns I considered - the artist is in Northern California:

Re: Pet Urns

When I had to shop for Madeleine's urn, I looked at many options, but nothing seemed right. The closest I came was a handcrafted glass urn that was stunning and would have captured her joie de vivre, her spirit. I decided against it, since we live in earthquake territory. By sheer coincidence, I cam...
