Re: UKC weight pull rule changes starting 8/1/09

I am wondering, the tracer thing has to be laying on the ground, so is it going to be on the magic line that I have seen drawn oh so often at every UKC pull? I am wondering if I can just hold on to my harness, and then let go. I am easily confused by this. I know there are some people that will be ...

Re: UKC weight pull rule changes starting 8/1/09

What could work well for you w/Milo is there's a fair chance he could get MWP and MWPP in his division, and come away w/30 bonus points, plus 20 points for pulling over 35%. You could come away w/a possible 50 points in a day. UKC was smart, they've developed titles that will keep people coming bac...

here's a link to the DVG rules. USA rules would be very similar. http://dvgamerica.com/ad.html The only difference between DVG and SCH is DVG goes by size of the dogs,if you have a smaller breed, then they don't have to complete the full 12.4 mi. "Completion of a distance of 5 km [3.1 miles] (s...

Re: Anyone familiar with the Sch. AD?

I plan on enterng a Sch. AD at the end of the summer and have a good conditioning program in place, but I don't know what speed the dog needs to be traveling at. I've read the rule book and the article in the recent Sch. magazine. What are the time limits on the legs of the AD? What is the average ...

Otherwise it can be benefical to a newbie. And now I know not only the singing-whining is a Stafford thing, but the sneezing for the ...

I agree with Jen,I personally would never pull on concrete,or on big rocks/none of them pleasant for the dogs as they try to pull the weight/. I like to work mines on grass, cause they can dig in with their nails,or dirt roads. We go to a local park as well early morning/6am/,and do wp training there...
