Female Pit Puppy - Very Skinny and needing a home!

This little girl showed up on my brother's apartment doorstep. She is approximatley 6-8 Months old and has a small gash on her head. She is very skinny, as I don't think she has eaten in a while and its been freezing cold here. He cannot keep her as the apartment complex doesn't allow pit bulls in t...

Dealing with a Senior Pittie

My girl just turned 7 and she is slowing down a bit and having some trouble getting in and out of the huge bed we have and the car. She had some bad allergies recently too, but that has since cleared up. It k...

Re: Switching to "Senior" food...

Awh, overweight. I agree with Tiva, stick with a good brand of adult dog food (NB, Wellness, etc.) and 6.5 is not a senior. :) Brisk walking or jogging for 15 minutes twice a day will help out a lot too. :run: How about substituting cooked veggies or dog-safe fruits as treats instead of regular dog...

Switching to "Senior" food...

So Nikita is now 6 1/2 (will be 7 in July of this year). She has no health problems to speak of, but the vet is saying she is fat! She has gained about 6 pounds in the past 6 months. Vet suggests I should switch her to senior food, but I just get so sad when I think about it. She still acts as crazy...

Did she redirect - ie, being unable to get to the dog that was getting her excited, turn and intentionally bit the next closest being? Or did she miss - ie, she was snarling and biting at the dog on the other side of the fence, and his hand got in the way? Definatley the first one. The dog was on t...

How bad was the bite? Bruising, scratch, punctures?

Just some punctures, but nothing serious. It was more like a nip.

Does she have any sort of aversion to collar grabs that you know of? No she has NEVER. You can do whatever you want to her. Even take a steak out her mouth and she wouldn't care. I grab her collar all the time in various situations and she has never done anything like this. I agree with the dog par...

Nikita's First Bite

So yesterday my boyfriend took Nikita (my pitbull) and his pug to this small dog park nearby where usually no one goes. It is in an apartment complex. As usual there was no one there so pit bull and pug had the whole place to themselves. Another dog came by walking on the other side of the fence and...

I live in Frisco, and that scares me. Stormi - should I be worried? If they ban my sweet girl, I would go before she EVER would! :-)

2 Sweet PItties, Need a home in Dallas!!

Please help if you can. I hope they can go somewhere together. They are about 3 or 4 years old, no major health problems. Great with kids. They have been living with a baby for over 2 years. http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL1133/4103679/8548951/286107196.jpg http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL1133/41036...
